Mixed Nuts - Part 3

...

I did buy the most expensive sneakers I have ever bought! I needed some Spiras, the ones with the springs in the heels of them. I kind of knew they didn't fit correctly, and asked the guy if they were men's sizes, he assured me they weren't. So, I decided to take them home and try them with my own socks and noticed that they were indeed mens @@. I'm so mad that I have to go back there.

I'm almost done taking the Christmas decorations down. lol One tree left. Boy did we procrastinate this season or what?

Tomorrow I have a hair appointment, long overdue! I can't wait.
Wednesday, I finally have a podiatrist app. I need to do something about this heel spur!

As you can tell, I'm playing catch up in every direction! So, PJ, I will try and not disappear again;)

Hmm..consult PJ on the bringing back of the shoes thing.

I am getting old..I keep finding odds & ends we didn't put away :rotfl:
The biggest blooper was the wreathe on the side door--I mean I go in & out of the darn door every day! Sheesh!
I also left a 12" high Nutcracker cookie jar out. Hmm.. a couple of doorknob hangers. One 8" Santa Claus.
I'm sure there's more lurking about...:rolleyes1

Let us know how this goes!
I am sure Rob & Keith (and Kevvy if he's lurking) will want to know the approximate date you will once again be stiletto ready! :cutie:

I'm disappointed to report that I do not have purple streaks in my hair today. We did use violet dye, but I ended up with lighter orangey-red streaks instead. I'm trying to decide if they're circa 1982 or 1983 Nick Rhodes orange.

Woooo! Violet would've been gorgeous! I'll bet you look great anyway!
The pic of you in the new dress was lovely!

It was a violet day for me, too: a pedicure & Lincoln Park at Midnite!

Good morning Nuts!

Cheryl ~ It's so good to see you here!!!!! :yay:

Jean ~ I'll exchange that coffee for tea
::yes::

Liz ~ Oh no on the hair thing - do ya have a pic?

Just for you, Blue!

OMG, the Gothic Beauty boards make me insane! My posts NEVER take and then I can't get back on for at least 3 hours afterward! :headache:

Wow!
You mean Goth Beauts uses the same server (?) as the DIS???

If it's just a plain wreath, you can leave it up. It's called a New England Wreath. Ours is still on our front door - just a pine wreath with a red bow - as is most of our neighbours'.

At least my nails are purple - Orly "Velvet Rope;" bright purple with silver glitter. Hard to see here, but it's lighter than it is in the bottle:

Good call!

So, just back from lunch and I've learned something new...while I like carrots themselves, carrot juice is just plain foul.

If the Spandex boards don't get a new server soon I'm leaving, its taking forever to post.

Blue is even having trouble since she got DSL

You're sooo right, Goofster! the Spandex Boards are heavily traveled--from KC to CA (um..I think DH is a 'supporter, too)

Jean,
When I sent you the pictures that Blue had forwarded to me of her last party they were for your enjoyment not publication.

When Blue sees these she is going to kill me :sad2:

She does look like a HotTe though

Liz! love the quote tags!

Hmm..the wreath is a 'pine' w/ pine cones, a dusting of 'snow' and red 'berries', fat white bow--I now will call it the NE Wreath--thank you, Liz!

Carrot juice? Was it fresh or the tinned stuff?
Now, I'll use the tinned stuff in veggie cakes (carrot, zucchini) but not to drink it --nasssssssssty!

Is it freezing in CT? It just started snowing here & it has been windy & bitter for DAYS!!!

I would definitely leave that wreath up - sounds like it's more winter-themed than Christmas. But try to remember it come February...

The carrot juice was Bolthouse Farms; they sell it in the produce aisle. It's relatively fresh, I think; the "sell by" date is always within a week or two, and it claims to be 100% juice. The ingredients are: "carrot juice (peeled baby-cut carrots, cold pressed for freshness)." Next time I'll buy the apple-carrot blend, which I've had and liked before.

Yep, it's freezing. I got out a heavier coat because I can't take it. Now I look like the Michelin Man.

Uh, sorry Keith! :headache:
I guess this means I'm not supposed to post Rob's pic either? :rolleyes1

OMG! That is too funny! It must have been me. (Rob, stop taking notes!)
The last time we went was in 2004. If it was you, then you were working at a ?beer stand? at the boat show? It's too bad we didn't get to meet up.

This exchange made me laugh. It's like you 2 are long-lost friends!!
And what is funny too is that I had her # in my cell phone for about a year afterwards and then deleted it thinking, "I'll never speak to this chick." :rotfl2:

::yes:: I have the same problem with my Nail Polish and Formal Dresses boards.

DM!

I'm :rotfl: thinking of you & Cheryl crossing paths again!

See! You were meant to be buds! :rose:

Is there anything more fun than standing at the window with your remote car starter, watching someone walking through the parking lot and jumping about a mile when your car starts and no one else is around? :rotfl2:

OK now that is good fun

Have you ever seen that video where a guy is closing his car trunk and his friends keep hitting the remote opener from the second floor office and he has no clue...

And this is why I am in possession of the ONE remote for MY car... :teeth:

Whoo-hoo!

*waves a five-spot*
I don't make change Liz! But I can make my dancing worth the extra money. ;)

These posts remind me of the time I acquired a JVC "boombox" with remote control for the home while someone here in the office had a JVC boombox in his cubicle. Sure enough, my JVC remote worked on HIS JVC boombox. Walking past with my remote and adjusting his volume, station, or just turning it off was great fun also.
