Mixed Nuts - Part 3

Apparently, many medical professionals, at least in the KC area are working tomorrow as we have three different medical appointments for three different boys at three different doctors' offices but you're right in that DW and I are both off tomorrow. Although, frankly, I'd much rather have President's Day off -- I mean we just had New Year's Day off 19 days ago.

Today was my maternal grandparents' 62nd wedding anniversary. DS15 and I attended church with them and then took them out to lunch to celebrate. It's also the third anniversary of my paternal grandfather's death but I already did my crying the middle of last week when I started thinking about it.

Well, the medical profession doesn't ever really close, I would say. Sorry about your grandpa. Even though my grandma died 7 years ago when that anniversary rolls around it's still hard. We get President's Day off AND MLK day!

A lot of places are in business tomorrow here in NY. Most doc offices are now doing away with this holiday and working. They give their employees a "floating holiday" instead. My Rob has to work tomorrow. He is a route salesman for Frito-Lay.

That's no fun.

Well, obviously, patients would still need care at hospitals and emergency services would still be needed. I was surprised that the various offices were open for regular checkups, allergy shots and such.

Yay! Cheryl's back (again)! Jean is back with us again also.

Thanks to all for your kind words. Really not a huge deal but I do miss him as most of us do miss those who have gone before us.

Also, this is post number 3000 for me (again). I don't think I ever reached 4,000 previously (was close so I don't remember) so I think the next milestone will be new territory for me (unless Liz goes and gets another thread deleted again ) after having to go through 2,000 and 3,000 a second time.

Aw Liz! I just picked on you because you're the only that posted on that thread that I know for sure claims she has never gotten points. FWIW: P&J and I didn't post on that infamous day either or the day before it. We were sick in bed lacking the strength (and/or desire) to post.

Rob - quit blaming Liz for that particular debacle. I remember quite correctly that there was a little bit of in-fighting that was going on, but it was 1 Elvis picture from me and 1 comment on it from you that closed that thread 2 weeks after they were posted. The weird thing is how the thread went from being closed for two days to totally deleted 2 days later. Also, there was a certain Teacher person that was stirring up trouble and reporting us constantly - sure don't miss that person.
