Take care Gothy Girl!:goodvibes

Do I know you? That nickname sounds awfully familiar...

Anyway...

Yes, it's spelled incorrectly, but it sounds the same!

Happy Thursday Nuts!

Ok, date references all get a little fuzzy around midnight, especially when crossing time zones plus the whole DIS clock seemingly having its own time zone thing but I think you're referring to Friday, October 26, Blue. If so, what a coinky-dink because, October 26, 1984 was mine and DW's first date (high school football game and then McDonald's -- Dad dropped me off and she drove me home because I didn't have my license yet!).

Awww...that's a cute story! :goodvibes

but I was referring to October 25. Close enough though ;)

In my household, I'm the one who remembers the first date, first kiss, etc. anniversary dates.

That doesn't surprise me :thumbsup2

For the record, he didn't remember until I asked him on the phone this morning if he knew what today was.

Good Morning residents of Nutsberg, and also to our neighbors over the county line in Guttersville.

Blue congrats on the DSL, now you are in a real dilemma....video gaming or DSL'in

Jean, Congrats on the Anniversary

Welcome nemesis

Rob impressive memory dude, I'm lucky if I can remember my own birthday

Keith, what's going on out there? I've been paying attention to the news, but that's different than hearing it firsthand. Is everyone still okay? How about homes and stuff?

Morning Liz,
Things are going better out here, the weather is much better making it easier for the fire fighters. The winds have almost stopped which allows the air support to fly and assist the ground crews.

Because the winds have stopped the air quality has really dropped at times it looks like it is snowing ash.

On the bad side San Diego is still in a world of hurt with their fires and to make things worse they found two victims in their home today, they are not sure why they were unable to evacuate.

As for our Family and Friends there were some anxious minutes but all are well and back in their homes.

There are 23 fires burning with 13 of them listed as "Contained"

Good Afternoon Liz, Goofster, and HARASW!

Just poppin' in to say Hey! (I just got out of a 2-hour meeting that required a lot of thinking and my brain is pretty much mush right now. I'm sure it will be all better after I get some lunch.)

ETA: I guess it's still morning where Keith is. Hope I didn't confuse him.

OK, see if I got this right if it's fall I move the clock ahead one hour, no it's back one hour or is it if it's spring I move to Canada becasue they don't have DST there.

Forget I'll just keep calling the time lady....Is it me or does she have a sexy voice...At the tone the time will be....I have left some voice mails at the beep, but she has never called back :sad2:

Oh man, here in KC, "they" got rid of the time lady. Most of my whole life (to this point), I could call 844-and then any four numbers and she would tell me the time and temperature. I think the bank that paid for it decided it was no longer an effective advertising tool and/or not much of a community service any longer. Sigh... If my kids stay in this town, they may never know who the "time lady" is or what she sounds like.

HARASW!!

and Hi! back at ya

Thanks re: the poem. Gee - I forgot about that. This thread is getting old!

I spent my morning in the city shopping for DD's birthday which is tomorrow.

I was hoping to have some fun with my new high speed but I guess it will have to wait until tomorrow :guilty:

As far as missing the "time lady," in today's world, do you have any idea how many automated prompts you'd have to go through before getting to her?

"For English, press one.
Para Espanol, prensa dos."

"If you wish to get the time in Daylight Savings Time, press one.
If you wish to get the time in Central Time, press two."

Etc., etc., etc...
