Hey Nuts! Didju all miss me this week? The project I've been working on for the last 14 months installed some stuff last Thursday and the rest this coming Thursday so I have been busy, busy at work.
Here's a quick rundown of my week last week:
Sunday -- off to the Chiefs/Chargers game with 3 of my sons -- in the 60s the day before, in the 50s the day after, in the 30s the day of the game! Fortunately, we were in the shade with the wind blowing so it felt even cooler.
Monday -- my oldest son got to suit up with the "A" squad for his high school basketball game. He got to play the last 2.5 minutes of the game when his team was already down by 25.
Tuesday -- long work day
Wednesday -- sick at home -- still did about 3 hours of work that day -- also got to watch "A Day at the Races" and "A Night at the Opera" on Turner Classic Movies channel that day although I was fading in and out of sleep as I was fighting off my fever.
Thursday -- First snow of the Fall here in KC during the day. I went with DW (no kids!) to the Billy Joel concert at our new Sprint Center arena that evening. Two main impressions from the show: (1) An excellent, excellent evening of fun entertainment -- not too many singers can pull from 36 years or so of their songs and still sound as strong and as good as they used to. (2) I tend to forget and thus am always amazed at how good of a piano player he is. Simply amazing piano skills.
Friday -- another long work day (which is why I'm still up at 5:40 in the morning) BUT I took a break for the evening to attend a "Singing Christmas Tree" presentation so I took in one holiday event this year. I'm hoping after we install this Thursday at work that I'll be able to get in the holiday spirit more. This is reminding me some of being in college and not being able to relax and enjoy the holidays until after finals were over. About the Singing Christmas Tree: one of the musical numbers was accompanied by about 10 to 12 ballerinas -- probably around PJ's age, more or less -- so I got my fine culture in for the next 12 months.
We all know how I am about guys in glasses...
Do I have to put lenses in them or can I wear just the empty frames?
Maybe some clear, straight, regular glass lenses.
Welcome back Jean!
MTE Lisa.
So, my Pats almost lost!! But, they did it

Crazy game.
Oh, I have a heel spur

it hurts like crazy.
Two more yards or 30 more seconds, Cheryl.
And as my DS used to say, "Who 'ruined' your snow?"
I agree with your DS! I rode up in a glass-walled elevator the other day and noticed that someone had came out and shoveled part of the outdoor patio -- which does not get any use in the wintertime -- at the law frim building next to where I work. I was saying, "But why?". Makes no sense to me.
So much for being swamped today. We've been caught up for hours. I guess it's that time of year again - people aren't buying windows and doors! I've answered all my emails, paid some bills, ordered a few things...
I always give windows and doors for Christmas gifts!
Let me know when the pedicure talk starts up again.
Does anyone think it's suspicious Rob & Squiddy & that smilie postin' Canadienne are off and wanderin'?
Don't lump me in with those freaks!
Hey there Rella Bella!
Loving the Christmas lights in yr siggie!
You should come down here and visit us Jean!
3.
Pretty much everything those 3 do is suspicious.
Hey, Rella!
Love the signature pic!
How's things?
Hey now.
Like I said to Jean, you should come visit. They're even prettier in person.
and Happy Birthday to me!
Awwww, and here I figured I didn't really miss anything this past week.
Happy 29th Birthday Jean!
1. National Lampoons=hilarious.
So you've taken my advice and seen National Lampoon's Van Wilder then?

(NOT Van Wilder 2!) You need to see it soon if you want to extend your time in school for another 5 or 6 years.
