Actually, I meant "for those of us who". And when I correct you (actually, make fun of you is what it really is), it's because you completely change the meaning of the sentence by your mistake. :rotfl2:

Also, I had two crazy women shouting at me on MSN, calling my name, while I was trying to hurry that post out.

-- Rob

OMG you are entirely unbearable! No one was shouting then but I am now: ROB IS A TOOL!!!

Yeah, I think my earliest memories are from when I was like 5 or something.

I will now end you. You will certainly not be making out with my sister! Hands off, pervert!!!!

Talking to you IS work!

And a bottle of rum?

Someone say rum?

Well, I guess it's official...I really need a new car. It's started to do some interesting things...whenever I go over a bump, the radio goes out, and last night as I was driving, the car audibly groaned and the speedometer needle dropped to 0 (yet I hadn't stopped). I know quite a few of you say to get a Honda, which I am considering, but does anyone have thoughts on a Nissan? Maybe the Altima?

Morning Peanut :goodvibes

What are your plans for today?
Were you drinking last night? We've already been through this. :rotfl2: My sister's working until 3:30 then we're going to go to the pool for awhile. Then we have an ADR at 'Ohana at 7:00 and then if we're feeling brave we'll venture into the Magic Kingdom for the fireworks. Otherwise we'll just watch them from the beach of the Polynesian. Until she gets home I'll just be unpacking though. Not so much fun. I'm also still uploading photos....photobucket makes me want to pull my hair out. What are your big plans today? You're working, right?

I am not about to give you car advice, that would be the biggest joke ever. However, I recommend you just drink some of that rum and then you'll be able to make a better decision. Do you have to work today?

:rotfl:

I was NOT drinking - you would have known if I was ;)

I'm just confused like always

Yes, I'm working later :headache:

I hate car problems and buying cars. Seems like such a waste of good money to me but I know we have no choice.

Are you buying new or used?

You know what, Blue? I don't think you always used to be this confused. Actually, I think you've just been hanging around me too much! Apparently my confusion rubs off on others.

Hmmm, I think if you replace the name Satchel with Rob in this strip, then the role of Bucky Katt could be played by PJ.

Okay, that made me laugh and I needed that. After my situation last night where I forgot I said I would babysit those kids I left the woman a voicemail telling her my best friend would watch them. When she never called me back this morning to get my friend's number I thought that was weird so I called her again. She absolutely screamed at me. She wanted to know what the hell I was thinking and how dare I mess with her schedule like that, don't I know she has a very important job to do?? I was almost in tears and I just had to say to her look, do you want the number or not. She said yes, I gave her my friend's number and she hung up on me. Guess I won't be doing that job anymore. And now I'm in a bad mood. I don't like people screaming at me like that. Guess she's never made a mistake in her life.

No work today...plus Psycho Sue is off tomorrow and Friday!

I usually buy new, because in my family, we keep cars for at least 10 years. My first car lasted 11 years. I'm floored that I haven't had this car for 5 years yet and it's falling apart. If I can get a deal on a new one, great - this particular car was the last 2002 on the lot, and they gave it to me for $200 over invoice, plus $2000 for my trade-in. Otherwise, I'm thinking "certified pre-owned'? Aren't those usually off a lease, relatively "new" with only one previous owner? And they have to be in good shape to return?

Were you the one who made her have those kids in the first place? 'Cuz if I were her that's who I'd be pissed at about "messing up" her schedule & "important job"... Unless there's more to the story, I think it's wrong for her to assume that YOU and YOUR schedule are at her beck and call from a simple verbal. It would be different if you were truly a nanny to her kids or a full-time all-the-time babysitter for her, but from what you described that's not the case. As long as there's not a written contract between you and her that says "PJ will take care of my kids on July 17-19" or some such, no sweat on your part.

Speaking as somebody who sometimes has to deal with child-care issues, a smart parent will have a back-up plan, just in case, for just about any case imaginable... What would she have done if you had (theoretically) come down with meningitis or something during that week - she'd be in the same boat anyway...

Happy Independence Day, everybody! We are waiting for the phone company to repair our phone service. It's been randomly farting out on us for the past couple of weeks, and is currently out right now too (for the past 10 minutes or so). The time it went out last night (at 1:30) it tripped our alarm, which sucked and woke everybody up when the siren went off. They'll be here "Between 1:00 and 5:00" but that's cool since we were planning to veg out here all day anyway.

Excellent news about Psycho Sue, Liz. :cool1:

No, there was no written contract. I would say she asked me to do this about a month ago and yes, I did commit to it, but now my plans have changed. I understand that she would be mad at me but at the same time I was somewhat confused as to why she was THAT mad when I was offering her a perfectly good alternative. My best friend Eren was a social work major, she works at a daycare, she's qualified to watch kids. I actually feel kind of bad for subjecting Eren to this woman now! I never thought about what this woman's big plan would have been if I had gotten sick. Obviously she didn't have a Plan B.

Yes, I knew that, but I can't think of a single thing that you've been able to recall or claim an awareness of from the 1980s. But that's fair -- I don't remember much of the early 1970s either. Jean doesn't remember much of the 1970s in general but for a WHOLE different reason. :rolleyes1

I agree. If anyone should be thinking about making out with PJ's sister, it should be me!

I'd love to see her working also. I mean, she must since she got good grades and all and held down her ballet teaching job, but really how do we know that's all not just pretend? I mean between the texting, and the TR's, and the Offending, and the Mixing of Nuts, and the ballet dancing of her own, who has the time to do any work?

Ok, just in for a quick bit to reload. So far, I still have all eleven of my fingers left but now we are moving into the heavier stuff: artillery shells! Woo hoo!

I'm here, pick me!

We just got back from 'Ohana and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. I had never eaten at 'Ohana. Meat on a stick=gross. Even my sister who eats meat just thought that looked nasty. They did bring me some amazing tofu though and I would go back despite meat on a stick. The fireworks were AMAZING. I think they called them perimeter fireworks and they were just everwhere. They went off all around the park. I was blown away. It was challenging to get out of the park but we made it home eventually. If you're ever in Disney for the 4th it's definitely something to see.
