Speaking of vacation, I picked up a new pet peeve on mine: people who light up their cell phone screens or their digital camera display screens when the cave tour guide turns off the lights for five seconds to show the tour group just how dark it is deep in a cave. WTH? It's supposed to be a dark experience people -- not this is how dark it would be except for some moron has his cell phone screen lit up throwing off light.
Otherwise, a great tour of Meramec Caverns today. It was the first time in a cave -- other than industrial underground storage caves in the KC area that are manmade from limestone mining -- for DS14 and DS11 (that they can remember -- both were in show caves when they were much, much younger).

I think this is my first trip to St. Louis where I didn't see the Gateway Arch until my very last day. Even then, it was just on a driveby -- these shots were taken out of my car window at a couple of stoplights:

and posting very cool pics (Robbie!!) and I've been having a whale of a good time, sick as a dog, camped out on my sofa for the last few days!!! 
Just all queasy and headachy and stuff...nothing major...just feel like crap! NO...I'm NOT preggers!!!!

I have some good news (for a change)...my mother's friend Louise jumped when we asked her if she wants to go to Disney next year! Her answer was "Okay; do we want to stay on site or get a condo?" She never takes much convincing. We're also planning a long weekend in Vegas (the three of us) because we've never been there, and we all want to see the Cirque du Soleil Beatles "Love" show. This rocks

I have no idea Liz. Probably NOT steel wool.Dumb question - what do I use to clean and de-mildew a very delicate, 35-year-old lace trimmed linen handkerchief? It was my wedding handkerchief and my mother's before me, which is why I didn't throw it out. I am, however, ripping the personalizations out, since we're both divorced
Obviously I need to handwash it. Should I use Woolite, or dish soap...?
