Oh, get this...I told my mother that I've thought about legally changing my last name, since I no longer want my married name. But I wouldn't go back to my maiden name either. I joked that I was going to have it changed to LeBon and she said, "You should!" I did not expect that reaction!

We had perfect weather for our event--I mean with all the rain & overcast w/humidity this year--how lucky was that?!

But attendance was off by about 9%
Revenues off by around 20%

I also got stopped & questioned by the police re: our temporary highway signs--I knew the officer & we chatted a bit, but Patrick was soooo embarrassed because now he says everyone in 2 towns thinks I am up to no good (it was on a very busy road at commuting time )
May I say the officer is very good looking & nice?
threw that in for us ladies!

But our artisans did okay.
A lot of business (for them) is done after the fair, as folks get measurements (for furniture, ironwork, Cheryl & Lisa!) then place orders.

Back to the drawing board(heh heh a little event coordinators' humor!)

we need a big draw--one of the kids suggested Stephen King or JK Rowling
