Mixed Marriage 2: The Conversion Continues..... now complete

You're ALIVE!!! Didnt read yet, just happy to be first for once...It IS a big deal.
ok, now I'll read then I'll fold the Mt. Everest of laundry...
By the way it was probably awesome (your latest post, since I havent read it yet)

Ok! Good work! I like the make-your-adoring-fans-have-to-go-back-two-whole-pages-to figure-out-where-you-are-eating-your-lupper!!! That's positively genious!
Now, I'll fold my laudry, throw food at my kids, shower, and do dishes then I'll be back to DIS s'more...love the budget boards and Disney for families.

TM, I glad you are back! I feared that you had been turned into a Swiss Roll!

TM and UM,

i have been trying to write a trippie from our March adventure, and a pre-trippie for our August adventure, but I am not funny today.

I believe the correct term would be "lunner", though "lupper" would do in a pinch, I guess. :)

Yeah!!! you're back!!! :cheer2:
Now forget those kids and don't make your adoring fans wait so long next time :rotfl2:

As usual I love the report. That was extremely sweet of the chef to sign his book. Who knows maybe one day he will be as famous as Mario Batali or Emeril Lagasse? That autograph may end up being worth something someday :thumbsup2

She's MYSTERIOUS that twinkie...
all aloof.

what about lipner (lunch, supper, and dinner) or brealipner (plus breakfast)

I think it's Dunch, sounds more exotic. You know Lupper sounds like you "have" something, whereas Dunch sounds kind of European. "Ahh, what are you folks doing this afternoon?" "Well, thankyou for asking, we are doing Dunch." The questioner marvels at the continental friends he has just made.... :cool1:

(P.S. Thanks for the Trippie... needed my fix for today)

Ok, I've lurked long enuff, read your first TR & now this one--I've laughed & smiled, smirked & experienced the "Me too!" syndrome. Had to say love, love love it! Your entertaining "clever turn of phrase" is totally enjoyable! Thanks for keeping me in touch w/ Disney & the way I feel when I am there! Haven't converted my DH like you have yours, but I never say never!!! HAHA! ( or is that MUAH?!) Keep writing & I'll keep reading. Deb

It has been several years, but I am pretty sure that you still can't go wrong with The Angus Barn on Highway 70 for a great steak. Amedeo's on Western Blvd. has some good italian food, and some of the best lasagna and blue cheese dressing you will ever have if you like either of those.

Thanks TRMM! We'll be sure to check those places out next time we're in the area checking on our house!

It is a fairly inexpensive Disney collecting hobby but I know think that it is kind of a starter drug- very innocent and sweet but Disney is really just training little children to grow up and get into the whole pin trading cult.

:rotfl2: After seeing a friend's pin collection recently, DS8 can talk of nothing else. Expedition Everest? NO! The really cool pool at CSR? NO! He is my grandmother reincarnated (have yet to see someone get more excited about something so innane as a yarn collection). He is more excited about trading pins than anything else! But let's not forget the autographs he still wants, and the infernal penny machines... If he trys to do all 3, I may have to take up collecting.... MY SANITY!

Another great installment! Glad you had a nice lupper!

OOooh I love yarn collections! It ranks up there with the dryer lint collection!

Just so everyone is clear, there is a world record for the biggest ball of naval lent. Yes, you heard that right, navel lint. Some guy collected the lint out of his belly button for something like 40 years. So always remember before complaining, there are worse things that someone could collect.

like maybe speeding tickets? my DH used to collect those on trips when we were first married.....

Welcome javamom and Iwannbindisnee. Glad you are here. :cheer2: Deb- I think it is actually MUAHHAHAHA.

After careful consideration, I think it must be lunner. The lunch part comes first and then the dinner. Lupper would be acceptable too. I am working on the next installment....

We had a lot of fun poking about the World Showcase that afternoon. At each country that we visited, DS would find a CM (usually near the KidCot stations) and get them to stamp (little rubber stamp, like a passport) and sign his book. (Tip: be sure to ask for the translation and write it at the bottom or on the facing page- you will forget and most of the CMs write cool stuff like “Hello, welcome to Norway!! Watch out for the dangerous trolls and the hungry polar bears!!” I mean who wants to forget that?) And while I am on the subject I will go ahead and tell you all.

We rode Maelstrom. Twice. And we liked it.
(Hi, my name is TwinkieMama and I like Maelstrom.)

In our opinion, to be experienced correctly you have to keep up a running commentary with useful advice like “paddle for your life” and “surely we will be safe… oh No! the spirit of NorVAY, the spirit of NorVAY!!!”. We also giggle… or at least I do, the men express their delight in a very manly way, no doubt. We resist purchasing several trolls and some very nice wool sweaters… lovely but not so much a need in the deciduous rain forest called North Carolina.
We saw the movies in Canada and China. We rode the Epcot version if It’s a small world. I love that pavilion- just being inside it is so cool. After the great entrance you really are expecting something a little, I don’t know, MORE from the ride- I mean the market area is awesome. The exhibits of art and artifacts rival any museum and then you get in line for……. Dancing Puppets? Anyway that autograph book entry was “Welcome to Mexico, land of the tacos and piñatas.”

While in Italy, DS saw CMs in tights and doublet and hats with feathers that are jauntily askew (not to be confused with John T. Lee Askew, his cousin Sirius is a new member here on the DIS) so he asked one for his autograph. The actor, who was apparently the forerunner of a mime for he did not speak, was stumped for a moment and then drew a picture of a mask. He was however a complete natural for posing for pictures. We got several good ones of various Shakespearean poses. Soon, it was time to find a good spot for the afternoon parade….

Yup, that's precisely what I said.

:)

Yay! Autographs from funny CM's are the BEST! Autographs at all are the cheapest souvineer so we DO autographs!

Do you know the name of the ride you referred to as the Epcot Small World? Where is it? (China?) Me thinks I missed something when we were there! OH NO!
We (especially me) are indifferent on the Maelstrom ride. Can take it or leave it (as I put on my flame retardant suit for the forthcoming flames from the Maelstoming die-hards!) I do like the Trolls and Vikings of NorVay though.

Ewwww! Naval lint? gross me out the door.

Great Job Twinkiedoodlebuggiemama!
Love Ya Oodles!
Utahmama who's over the gansta thing...hurts my head.

"El Rio del Tiempo" takes you on a boat ride through the River of Time as you explore the history of Mexico through the use of Audio-animatronic dolls dancing and performing, tourism films and scenes depicting Mexico's past. The 6 minute cruise is both simple and relaxing and finishes with a brilliant fiber optics supplied fireworks display
The above was cut and pasted from the Theme Parks pages. The fireworks are pretty neat.

I think the cool kids of the Trip Report pages aka the Maelstrommers whole point is that the ride is not so wonderful as to require a mad dash to Norway and a fast pass. I think that they can take it or leave it therefore you too must be a cool kid Utahmama. I am admittedly a nerd so I like the Spirit of NorVAY.

and kudos to pilferk for knowing his combination meals!
