Mixed Drinks & Cocktails

What are your favorite mixed drinks / cocktails? Do you drink something different at home versus when you are out on the town for the night?

When I am home, I usually drink Cruzan Pineapple Rum w/ Sprite (MMMMM) or Cruzan Vanilla Rum w/ Coca Cola. My Mom lives on St.Croix (where they make Cruzan Rum), so I always have some sort of yummy rum in the house. On occasion I'll make a cosmo at home, but very rarely.

When I'm out, usually Mandarin Vodka w/ Sprite (tastes like Orange soda!), Cosmopolitan made w/ Raspberry Vodka or Caramel Appletini's..which are just DEEEELICIOUS.

Last night, DH ordered a Bloody Mary and I had never tried one, so I took a sip. It was GOOD! I never really liked tomato juice, but I ended up ordering one of my own (and a few more )..they were actually very tasty!!

So what are your drinks of choice?

Oops, I should also mention that I love Sam Adams Summer Ale or Sam Adams Cherry Wheat while watching my Red Sox

I don't care for the sweet drinks. I can do a margarita from time to time but normally I just order a Belvedere martini with a twist of lemon.

My very favorite drink is a white Russian. I tend to like creamy sweet drinks.

At WDW (AKL in particular), they have a drink called Nyami Nyami that I'm just in love with. It's a creamy frozen drink that you probably can't get anywhere else because it has amarula in it. I've never seen that liqueur anywhere but AKL.

When I'm out it's usually a margarita on the rocks with salt. We don't drink much at home but if we do it's the Cuervo maragarita in the bottle or a Corona with lime.

Perrier Jouet Fleur de Champagne is number one.

I like a variety of wines, pretty much any good red or white that's on the dry side.

For spirits I LOVE X-rated!

I like White Russians, Grasshoppers, and Tootsie-Rolls, but can only drink one before they get gross.

I like screwdrivers. I like Yellowbirds if you replace the run with vodka.

We drink both out and at home, but in moderation. I probably have one, maybe two drinks a week. A bottle of X-Rated will last me six weeks or so. (At $25 a bottle, it better!! )

OH I like this thread...

At home its a beer or kahula and cream. I was reciently introduced to uv vodka and lemonade..

When I go out its usually a frozen margaritta... Peach; raspberry; strawberry; mango; You get the idea...

We usually drink coconut rum bay breezes (we like the Parrot Bay coconut rum the best), Cosmos and vodka collins...sometimes beer. When we go out, its usually the same.

At home -- we'll occasionally mix up a batch of daiquiris, but I tend to be plain -- I'll sip on 43, limoncello or amaretto.

At home, I go to a website with a bunch of recipes...enter in what I have on hand and look for a drink to make. I've found a few favorites that way...a Mounds Martini (tastes just like a mounds candy bar, godiva choc. liquer and coconut rum) and a White Jamaican (kahlua, coconut rum, and milk).

When I go out, it's hard to pick 'cause you never know if the bar is really fully stocked. But some of the drinks mentioned here sound good. I might try some!

At home it's white Cosmo's made with Tito's Vodka. Can never find Tito's out so it's Kettel One.

Amaretto, and diet coke, or sometimes just the amaretto, over ice.
Vodka and cranberry
Coconut rum, and diet
Beer
Margaritas
Chocolate Martinis

When out, I usually just drink beer, or Mojitos. At Outback, I always get a Wallaby Darned, w/ a shot of raspberry added, but they are expensive.

Ice cold Bass or Sam Adams

And when I'm feelin' the need to have something fruity (shut UP people!), a good ol' strong Mojito does the trick.
