Mitshukoshi....not impressed

Since '99 we have waited for this meal. We have been to WDW 7 times and finally got a meal in there. After much anticipation we ate there tonight. Pretty dull meal by Disney comparisons. No taste to entrees at all. We ate chicken, shrimp and steak. All were just dryly cooked with nothing tasty about them.

SO, did we hit a bad night/chef, OR, is this typical for a meal there?

We eat frequently at a local Japanese steakhouse, half the price yet lots better than what we had.

We have the chef add lots of the ginger-soy mixture while he is cooking (plus we add our own on the side) and we have always had tons of flavor and very moist meat. Sorry you did not have that experience!

We ate there in June and we will not be going back. This has been our fourth time going. The first two were great. On the third we were not that happy, but chalked it up to the night, the moon in the wrong position, etc, but after June we will not go back again. The prices are hugh and they have cut out the salad that use to come with the meal. Our chef was horrid. A couple of flips here and there and that was the show. The food was average nothing to write home about. It was not bad, but not that great either. We actually had to ask, beg him to make the volcano for us as my GD saw one being made and wanted one also. He said alright, but was not pleased.

So you are not the only one not pleased with the resturant

I've gone there repeatedly over the past couple of years, sometimes with groups as large as 16, and everyone has always really enjoyed it!

We were there at the end of August and our meal was excellent. No complaints here. We are definitely going to return on our next trip. We don't, however, have any Japanese restaurants close by and this was our first experience so we had nothing to compare it too.
It's too bad that your much anticipated meal did not meet your expectations, especially when it's not the most inexpensive place to eat! Perhaps it was an off night.
