Someone a few weeks ago said to check Ebay. I've never bought off of ebay before. It has a bid of .99, doesn't that seem just too cheap? It says it is new. Do you think it is legit and new?

Is the cool blast one good?

For 2 adults and a toddler how many would you buy?

Thanks!!

It is not uncommon for items to have a low starting price on Ebay. People often wait until the last minutes to bid. I have seen an item with no bid suddenly get a rash of bids and go up in price that last minute or even seconds. Some people just set there waiting to grab something for cheap at the last seconds or beat another bidder who would have paid more for the item.

Also check the cost of shipping and handling. An old Ebay trick with sellers it to charge very high shipping costs.:scared1: Ebay gets a percentage of each sale thus instead of selling something for $30 the seller will sell the item for $5 and charge $25 shipping and handling. Ebay gets 1/6 of what it would have got at $30.

Very true...and when you see this kind of abuse, please report it as it is an ebay policy violation to charge excesive shipping.
What is a Misty Mate? A handheld fan? Are they better than the ones you can get cheaply at Walmart?

It was probably me who talked about the misty mate, I bought 2 small ones for our back packs. I had seen people buying these so I decided to do the same. they work wonderfully.

That sounds like such a good idea. I might get one of those because it'll fit into my little bag. The other ones with the fans are too cumbersome and I heard that the foam fan blades break off easily.

Also the misty mates above, is not battery powered, its pump powered :) they work great and not cumbersome at all. I love the fact I give it a few pumps from the bottom and it sprays!!

Those look very neat! Are they expensive? I always bring a fan and then never use it because they are a pain to tote along..

Thanks for the pics. I was imagining a giant spray water bottle with a fan on the end like I have seen. I always thought those were too big to carry around. I have a little fan that came from DLR a few years ago. No water, but the fan is tiny and can hang on its string around your neck. It has been very handy, but I might go see if I can find a Misty Mate somewhere. I like that it doesn't need batteries.

If it runs out of water will the fan still work?

There is no fan on it, it just mists. I love ours and what I do is put it in the fridge to get it cold and its soooooooooooo refreshing .these things are small and you just fill them up when there empty any where. convenient and refreshing :)

Oh, ok thanks. I thought it was a little fan blowing it. Putting it in the fridge is a great idea!
