if you really really want a mister fan, although I hate them, I have found them at walmart by the House Fans section, Housing Supplies on the bottom row, in a bin, for $4. Sometimes you can find them in the Camping Section. They can be found in both the camping section and travel sections in Target. Bass Pro Shops and Outdoor World sell them too sometimes. I live in the panhandle of Florida, if you drive you can always stop by a florida walmart on your way down, or fly and stop by via taxi or rental car on your way to hotel.
That's good advice - mister fans are a "seasonal" item in many parts of the U.S., and hard to find unless it's spring/summer season. You may still be able to find them in stores now. If not, check a sporting goods store (my local "Big 5" sporting goods store often has seasonal items in the storage room; you just have to ask, and they'll get them for you. Bought a "pool noodle" for one of my WDW trips one year, and they got one for me out of storage.)

Target had the small Misty-Mate knockoffs earlier in the summer but I haven't seen them lately. We've purchased the WalMart fans and some worked well, others died quickly. But it was still cheaper than purchasing them at Disney.
I would also advise the OP to look NOW. Our local grocery store put our their Halloween candy several weeks ago - I guess summer ends in early August here in Rhode Island.
