I almost always go with my DH, DKs, DM, one or both of my DGMs and even with my DFIL. I would not say we ever have a problem that would prevent us from doing it again (granted everyone is pretty easy-going). IMHO watching my children make those memories with their grandparents and great-grandparents is priceless. I realize this isn't for everyone but it works for some.
I WILL NOT MAKE A DINNING RESSIE for a park resturant on day of arrival. I did this on my last trip and missed the ressie. Thank goodness i wasn't charged a $10.00 no show charged. My next trip i will spend the first night at my resort and eat there.
DH was waiting for me at Ohana's while I was poking around in DTD shopping, sampling, taking it slow. DH calls and says where are you? I can tell by his tone I need to be at the Poly, So I get on the bus to MK quickly....oh no!!! what I had assumed would be a walk-on to the monorail to the Poly turned into a standstill due to an earlier park close (and I didn't pay attention to MK hours that day since we were at another park). DH was a bit put out with me because he had to sit alone and I was really nervous that I would be late for the ADR. The seatings at Ohana ran late, so nothing hurt but it could have turned out very differently
.
This is hilarious to me because my kindergartener who hasn't missed a day of school yet was worried about missing his 100th day of school. Thankfully I planned the trip just right & his 100th day is the day before we leave!
Although I would be thrilled to stay at the Poly but DH says we don't spend enough time at the resort to make it worth the $.
