Mission Space

Has anyone here actually gotten sick on it ?

I'm a little woried. I've been on Star Tours and Body Wars and been OK, but the tea cups will get me every time.

I've only been on it once, but you really aren't aware of the "spinning". You are in an enclosed "spacecraft" with a screen in front of you showing you scenes of space. The spinning is used to give you the "G" forces necessary to simulate take off and to remove those "G's" quickly to simulate weightlessness. You should be OK.

The centrifugal force didn't bother me, but the simulator part of the ride (space and Mars) made me very nauseous. I didn't get sick, but I felt icky for about 45 minutes afterward. I just can't do simulators.

We went a couple of weeks ago. I was hesitant about it because simulators have given me problems in the past. I followed the instructions about keeping head back and eyes forward and everything went OK. I did have a headache afterwards but that was about it. The roughest part to me was the approach to Mars. I did notice several people who were ill after the ride. ONe was lying on the ground with a wet cloth on his head.

The ride is less than 5 min and there is chicken exit before you board.

I also notice the wait times were shorter than test track. Test track has got to be the slowest line in WDW.
