I'm sure this questions has been asked before but here goes....

Although I don't suffer from Motion Sickness there are certain rides that make me sick. The 3D adventure at Six Flags Great Adventure and Body Wars both make me nauseous. The Star Tours ride does not.

I was wondering from the people who have rode Mission SPACE what they thought my chances of getting sick were.

I thought of taking Dramamine before riding but don't like to take any meds unnecessarily.

It is really difficult to tell the affect M:S will have on anyone. The ride system is unique. Chances are, if you have not ridden M:S, you have ridden nothing like it.

I get a headache on Body Wars during the part when you are caught in the blood vessel (i think it is) and when you feel like you are floating in the lungs....ooohhh I can feel it now. Anyway, they tell you when you ride Mission Space to keep your eyes on the screen and your head all the way back. That seems to help alot of people that I have talked to and it helped my family and I. Also, do not close your eyes or look around because it will make you more aware of the spinning motion (this is what DH experienced). I say go for it. It is worth it. :)
Good Luck,

I haven't been on it but my hubby and kids have and they said keep your eyes straight ahead and keep them open if you look to the side or close them you will feel the spinning.

Not much info but hope it helps.

There is no way to know how it will effect you. I didn't feel sick at all and I get sick on a swingset. DH rides roller coasters like a maniac and claimed he felt sick for two days!

I have been worrying about this too. I can handle the teacups and I love Star Tours, but I am so nervous about winding up sick in my favorite park! How could I enjoy my Guinness at the pub if I am sick?;) I will try it though bc I can't resist.

We did Mission Space last week and had no problems. Wife took dramamine and followed the instructions (she hates elevator and simulator rides). We did not see any barf barrels like we heard about. It must be an individual thing.

I've read different things from different people. When I rode it (I'm 16), the only parts I felt sick on were the lift off, for about 3 seconds, and I think the sling shot around the moon. The reason I'm not really sure is because on lift off, my contact fell out on to my shirt, then when I finally got it, it fell on to the floor. Needless to say, I missed half the ride and the parts I did see, was with only one eye open.
But as for motion sickness, like said before, it probably depends on the person.

We were at EPCOT on Tuesday and with the light crowds we were able to walk right on. I am a coaster fan who has yet to meet the ride that bothers me. I rode with my wife and DD (10). Both my wife and daughter felt "a little funny" after the ride, but I think they essentially pysched themselves out. There were problems with the ride, and we sat in our simulator for about 15 minutes before it started. The ride didn't bother me, but it didn't really excite me either. The excitement is not even close to riding coasters like the Millenium Force at Cedar Point.

Was there Halloween week and we were NOT going to ride MS. Once there we HAD to! Ranging in age from 62 to 5 we ended up riding 4 times the week we were there.

Have one 10 year old that gets car sick and after the first ride she looked a little shook up. We told her that if she felt bad again to scream and yell when that "funny feeling" hit. She rode it 3 more times and yelled. Said it really helped!

It is such a hard thing to describe. I did not feel the spinning at all. The take off is a wild feeling that I can’t even describe.

Myself, DH & DD (5) were all fine, but every individual has difference sensitivities.
