My dd13 wants to ride on Mission Space, but I'm very claustrophobic so I'm going to take a pass. But I'd like to see everything up to the point where they lock you into that TINY :earseek: little space!

How far can i go into the ride area and still not actually go on the ride? Is there a 'chicken exit' for wusses like me?

OOPs summited that too fast.

My second time riding MS I was very nervous. The CM that instructs you where to board and sit asked if I would be ok, if not I could still bypass the ride. If you decide to not even chance it go through the gift shop (its to the left of MS entrance) and there is an area to wait. They have a cool interactive game to play and an area for small children, plus some benches to sit down (not a lot but enough for about 10 people. Plus if she chooses to ride alone she can go on the single rider line and it will take a lot less time. My DD11 now rides by herself since I will not ride. Our last trip she rode back to back 3 times. I had to make her leave. Wish I had her stomach.

There is an opt out line when you get to the loading area. You get to see the preboarding instructions and then they guide you out to the interactive computer area. When they ask you how many tell them you want out and they put you in the opt out line.

If I can do it, you can do it. I don't even go in elevators and I forced myself to go on this. Don't get me wrong it's one of the tiniest spaces I've ever been in but the ride is so good and I just kept breathing deep thinking to myself noone has ever gotten stuck forever in a Disney ride :rotfl: and although I'll never do it again I'm really glad I tried it and survived :teeth:
At least consider doing it.

I love crazy rides, but this one was too crazy for me... I am claustrophobic, and have a medical condition.
My blood pressure dropped on the ride, and when it was over and the doors opened, I walked out and fell over sideways!
They did give you the option to chicken out right up to the last second, I was just too stubborn to do it! At least now I will never feel like I missed something by not going on, I just know never to do it again!
