Mission: Space to be retooled!!

HELP? Has anyone heard this? DH was listening to Mousenotes (a podcast) this morning and it was claiming that MS is going to be retooled to have two versions. One side of the ride will spin with the centrifuge and one side won't. Same show and stuff on the inside of the capsule but the "new" side will be more like Star Tours, motion simulator. He called me immediately asking if anyone here was talking about it.

Frankly, I'm ALL about that idea! Everybody could enjoy it then. BTW he said no time table was given for this "alleged" retooling.

It's true. Disney announced it some time last week, maybe the week before.

I don't know which floors me more; that Disney is actually doing it, or that DH was right! HAHAHA!!!

I'll say it again. It's a GREAT idea.

They will have half and half and be able to turn the centrafuse on or off if needed to guests in line. The film is the same but the non-spinning version will just tilt and yaw while you are watching the film. Yes it will be similar to Star Tours but I wouldn't expect the same type of motion from this.

yeah, we just got back Sat. and it was on the news down there...along w/the psycho that was stealing the cash registers at WDW!! he did it like 4 times before he got caught!
