My son loves space but is an inch too short to ride Mission Space. I don't think he would want to ride it anyway. He is not a very adventurous rider! Anyway, is it worth going just to the post show area. What do they have there? Can you get to it easily if you don't ride. He just turned 5. Thanks for any info!

Yes, take him! You enter through the gift shop (which has lots of cool space stuff!) and then there's an area with some computer games, a place to take a picture and send it in a space-themed email, and a children's play area with tunnels. Definitely take him!

This is good to know about as my husband wants to try this and I was wondering about where we might meet him while also occupying the little one who is also 5 years old.

We just got back and our 5 year old loved this area. Our oldest rode Mission Space 6 times (thanks to babyswap) so the 5 year old sent video emails, participated in a race (lots of fun) and climbed in a play area.
