Mission Space is awesome

Angelgirl - they had a AP preview weekend the 1st-3rd so only Passholders were allowed in. But as of Monday they had the preview sign up again and were allowing all park guests to give it a try.

Thank you so i guess that means i can ride ms next week i cant wait i have been waiting since i first saw the building last year
YAY!! It sounds like so much fun i am a big thrill nut.

Can anyone who has been on MS provide some insight to size limitations the capsule has?

I am a Pooh Sized guy.. 6'5 500lbs.. and have a fairly large ( 65" )chest Can I get on the ride? is it set up like Alien Encounter? or RnR?
I can go on AE, but not RnR

Hmmm...have not seen anyone have problems on M:S due to size, however, I have to admit that I have not seen anyone of your height or chest size try to ride. I know that there is a maximum height for the capsule but I don't know what it is for sure. As far as the restraint - it comes down from overhead and locks into place, similar to how the RnRC restraints work.

I hope you are able to ride - it is great. Good luck!

I didn't think it was as "intense" as everyone described. I rode it last week twice and while I though it was fun and a definate plus for Epcot, I didn't think it was as amazing of a thrill ride as everyone described. I didn't really get the motion sickness thing and I sometimes do on the simulator rides. My fiance' who is very prone to sickness was ok with it and only had minor disorientation after riding. It was a good ride and I would go on it again but I thought it would be longer and I would not have been nearly as impressed if I had to wait an hour or more for it.

To PoohSizedDH

I am 6'2" and weigh about 310lbs. and didn't have any problems with fitting in the ride. It was actually kind of comfotrable, as far as room to sit goes. Not nearly as tight as was described by most.

I understand that there may be some motion sickness issues, but I'm more concerned about how rough the ride is...its "jerkiness", if you will :). Does it change direction quickly, throw you around and put strain on your back like Dinosaur, Star Tours, and other rides like that (at least they do to me)? How does it compare to those rides and Rock'n Rollercoaster as far as smoothness? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I thought it ran really smooth, it just spins in a circle to make you feel the G-forces. It wasn't really jerky at all.

I also rode it twice on a trip in July on a Saturday to boot. I did the 1:00 time when they first opened it for the day and then right before closing which was a complete walk on.

They do repeat the warnings over and over again. Both my fiancee and I are both thrill ride enthusiasts and we loved the ride, but both felt a little funny for about 5 minutes after riding it. I think that is part of the charm about the ride, you aren't allowed to forget it when you get off :p
