They scare you to death on the way into the ride. I think I got asked 4 times by CM's if I was sure I wanted to do the ride. There are warnings everywhere about motion sickness & fear of dark enclosed spaces. There are even barf bags in a pocket beside every seat. BUT I BRAVELY CONTINUED.

I am prone to motion sickness and claustrophobic. I can barely endure Rockin Roller Coaster (eyes shut). I took my BONINE an hour before we headed to the ride. I did not eat breakfast.
I DID IT and it was really awesome. It was touch & go for a while. They have benches to sit on as soon as you get off the ride. Thank heavens! Several folks told me it is easier the second time. But like Body Wars, this one is not on my ride every time list.... maybe once every 3 years list.

The ride staging is very good. I wish I could have paid more attention to it. I did push my button on command though!!

Oh and for folks that are eye closers like me..... DON"T! It really does make it worse.

Good for you!!

And do follow the directions, not looking down, side to side, etc.
I, being the good mom I am, looked over at my 7 year old to see if he was ok and it was over from that point on!!

I was queezy for 3 hours afterward!! I think it is one thing I said I did, and won't do again!

I am scared to death to ride this ride!!! LOL I get motion sickness very easily, and am afraid that I'll ruin my trip by going on this ride!!! Ugh!

That is awesome and good for you!!

I LOVE Mission Space. I was really scared the first time, especially since I forgot to take Bonine beforehand. I decided to give it a try and had a blast. I rode it like 6 times on our trip last September. Since DH was sick, he declined to ride - ofcourse he isn't much into motion rides, so he may not try it this trip either.

I plan on riding it several times. The single riders line was very handy for me!!

I just did as I was told - eyes stayed straight ahead on the screen, head back and I was fine. Never turned my head or closed my eyes - hardly even took my eyes off of the screen.

I can't wait to ride again!!

Thanks for posting this! I haven't ridden Mission Space yet, and am looking forward to it in Jan! I get motion sickness really bad, and am a bit claustorphobic as well so am a little worried about it. I will definitely have to take some Bonine, too!

Do you think it helped that you didn't eat breakfast, or would it have mattered?

Can't wait! :earseek: :hyper:

I'm glad I rode this during soft openings before everyone started freakin out over it and warning everyone. I think thats part of the problem, people think too much. I had a great time on it, but it really wasn't a big deal...

I'm glad you rode it, and laughed at your description of all the warnings... they scare you more before you ride then the ride itself!

=)
