Mission Space Green

I'm claustrophobic and Mission Space didn't trigger me (I've only ridden it when it first opened). I hate elevators but could do the ride for some reason. Didn't feel sick on it until I rode it the second time back to back. That wasn't a good idea.

So, since it hasn't been outright explained:

Mission: SPACE Orange uses a high-speed spinning motion to simulate higher G-forces. It does this three times during the ride for 10-12 seconds at a time. This is the only time you will feel the G-forces (it is similar to a "Gravitron" or flying saucer type ride at a carnival - you can't tell that you are spinning, but you feel the pressure). Again, it is not constant, but it is noticeable when you try to use your arms to press the buttons as instructed. It is advised that you always look forward at the screen and don't turn your head to the side.

Mission: SPACE Green does not spin. There are no simulated G-forces and the capsule really only shakes and swings a bit. The capsules are exactly the same and both are very tightly enclosed. The new version of the Green mission is a flyover of Earth and in my opinion this program is not as good. The Mars mission worked even without the G-forces. The general motion of the green side is far less intense than Star Tours or most other simulator rides.

Agree 100% with this. It's a very mild ride, but when that door closes, my heart races. Once it starts, I'm fine. But as I get older, I get more claustrophobic and I don't think I'll ever do it again. I remember waiting for it to start - which seems to take forever for me - and my family talking to me and I said "Just be quiet." They couldn't understand why I was so testy. I was just freaking out a bit. :)

This is my big concern. Motion rides don't really bother me, whether it's the spinny cups or the simulators. I'm fine on Star Tours -- once in a blue moon I feel a little queasy, but if you just close your eyes for a second, it goes away. But being enclosed in something small? Not so sure I can do it. I should look at pictures, but in the end it'll probably be the claustrophobia aspect that'll stop me.
