Mission Space - green??

That is really interesting and more than a bit odd!

I agree. I've never been bothered the slightest bit by Star Tours (although I haven't been on it since it was refurbed), but the only time I did Mission Space was when there was no orange and green sides (it was only the more intense version available), and I felt so crappy after getting off that I ended up going to the first aid center and throwing up.

I can ride anything...just not MS:Orange. The Gs made me feel like I was going to pass out for 90 minutes after the ride. As others have said, Green may still be a problem if you are claustrophobic. When I rode Orange, I had a totally unexpected and very major freak out the moment they closed the capsule and I had to ride with my eyes closed for half of the ride. It's very tight in there. Like a coffin with a video screen.

I am someone who doesn't love big drops or spinning. I love Star Tours, and can do rides like Big Thunder Mountain. When we were at WDW a few years ago my wife went on MS Orange and told me I'd be fine with trying Green.

I tried it, and definitely felt like I was going to be ill. The tilting back and forth got to me more than the enclosed space. I wouldn't seek it out again.

Mission Space is probably the only ride that I really hate at WDW. I did MS Green with a friend a couple years ago, and felt fine, so we decided to try MS Orange. We both felt really ill during the ride, and it took all of my motion sickness tricks to keep me from not getting sick. Both of us are big thrill seekers, the crazier the ride, the better, but that one knocked us on our butts. I tried MS Green again last year, and it was again ok, but I definitely won't step foot on MS Orange again, and will more than likely not go back to MS to ride again

I love the orange, more intense, ride. No issues.

Did green once. The motion to simulate the intense acceleration made me a bit queasy. The non-spinning motions used to create the sense of acceleration is rougher/harsher than anything on the orange side, as the orange side uses spinning instead (which does not bother me).

I haven't heard of a single person that shares this perspective, however.

You found one! I am not sure if it is my age or what but I did MS all the time before they did sides and still did Orange every time once they did change. Once we had a younger one that wanted to go on, we all went on Green together and I felt dizzy for a few hours after which is so strange. My husband thought I was nuts. Next trip, same thing but I went on Orange with my older and was completely fine. Last trip, tried to go on with my newest younger one and I was anxious before getting in and once I was seated I was almost having a panic attack (which I have never had in my life) from the claustrophobia. They opened the door because my husband's belt wasn't on right and I asked to get off. Now I don't want to go on either.

Any other ride in Disney and Universal I can do. It is so weird.

Still made us feel queasy, but then we don't like confined spaces

Omg ...thinking about it gives me the willies lol. I avoided altogether after realizing the tight closed dark fit.

The dh came off pale as a ghost and weak looking...ruined the rest of his day, years ago. I think before they "tamed" it. We still laugh about that .. now. Back then I wanted to cry for him. Awful experience .. only time he had ever gotten ill from a Disney experience. Heed the warnings imho

Personally, I can only do green now. I used to be able to do orange until I did it one time, and I did not feel good for the rest of the day. I compare green to Star Tours tame. You are in a small space, so that depends on how well you feel being in small spaces.

I rode green, no problems. Refused to ride Orange for ages, because I do sometimes get motion sickness. When DH finally talked me into it, we got on board, no sickness bags in our pod and I properly panicked. I sat there and sobbed at my husband and called him many bad words (quietly!)... and then loved the ride. Didn't feel in the slightest bit sick, and went straight back on it!

Did the old green version & really liked it...thought it was like "space Soarin'." Went on Orange a few minths later...AAACK! That pressurey g-force thing knocked me down for over an hour after . Just did the new Relaunched green today...sooooooooooo boring. So I guess no Mission Space for me. Why'd they dumb down the mission on green ?!? And I have no problems whatsoever on ANY other simulator ride or coaster, just Orange.

I just did them for the first time last week. We did Green first and it was fine. (I’m not a huge fan of doing too many simulation rides in a day). Later in the day we did Orange and I did not like it at all...huge intensity difference between the two...not for the whole thing only in certain parts but it was enough to make me not enjoy it.

I lime this new version of Mission Space. It is less intense and adds something to Mission Space that it has needed.

Green was boring. So we tried Orange a few days later. I did not care for it. I didn't have a panic attack or anything, but after the 2nd G forces I was staying completely still thinking get me off of this thing. It was tight on my chest and the g's made it worse. I dunno, it was fun, but freaky at the same time. I had to sit down after. And I ride everything else no problem. I have also had some balance issues since my last c-section, could be related, but Orange messed me up. I doubt I would do it again,.
