I've never done Mission Space. Will I get sick doing Mission Space - green? Is it safe? I don't want to feel awful on my 1st day at Disney-please help!!

You likely won't get sick as you don't experience any g forces. Only issue would be if you hate confined spaces as you're sitting next to 3 others in a small space

Tough question to answer...do you get motion sickness easily? I have ridden both orange and green, and there is a HUGE difference between the two. I feel like green is very tame - maybe slightly more "intense" than Star Tours because you are in closer quarters.

I get motion sickness really bad, like Star Tours almost made me throw up. I did Mission Space Orange and was totally fine.

I've never felt sick from the green side. When we first board, I do feel a little claustrophobic, though. Once it begins, I focus on that and not the tight space. I will say, when it first opened and there were no "sides" the ride made me sick. I had a headache and was a little nauseous.

Green should be fine as long as you are fine with dark, closed spaces. I wouldn't do orange. Orange is a little bit tough for me and I like thrill rides.

I don't do either.. but have done both.. Orange just once and didn't LIKE IT at all.. green a few times and was ok with it but still.. now that the kids are big enough that they don't need me, i simply wait in the arcade area at the end of the ride..

Have you been on Star Tours or have any other simulator rides made you nauseous? I get nauseous by Star Tours and did try Mission Space - green to find it did the same to me as well. I'm fine on roller coasters. When I have gone on Star Tours I have ginger candies that helped and closing my eyes

So the difference between Mission: SPACE Orange Team, More Intense Training (TM) and Green Team, Less Intense Training is that Orange Team spins for about 10 to 15 seconds at 3 separate times during the show. During these portions you will feel increased gravitational forces. Green Team does not spin at all so you do not get that sensation, but is otherwise the same. The very small capsule you are in will be swung inward and outward to press you against the back of your seat or the harness, and it will shake and sway along with the visuals. The motion is not as extreme as something like Star Tours. You will have your face pointed right at a 3-D screen, and if the motion gets to you closing your eyes may help. The capsules are very tight and claustrophobia is actually the number one problem people have with this (when you board keep in mind that that control panel will be moving toward you and will be very, very close). Let the CM know before he closes the door if you feel like you might need to bail before it starts.

I have done both sides (was forced to green for five years after I broke my neck) and I agree with others on the tight quarters so if you have claustrophobia issues. I also agree with BrianL that if you get to the capsule and it's too tight for you, just ask to leave. That really is the only "warning" with the green side.

I get motion sickness fairly easy. I can do coasters but am a bit sick afterward. Star Tours makes me very sick. I did the green side and was almost as sick as on Star Tours. It was fun though!

I did Mission Space Orange, back before there was a Mission Space Green, and the moment we started for "liftoff," I knew I had a huge problem. It was all I could do to keep from being sick. I can do Mission Space Green with absolutely no problem. Claustrophobia can sometimes be an issue for me, but I have never had a problem with it on Mission Space. I don't think of it as an especially dark ride, either. I think you will be ok.

I love the orange, more intense, ride. No issues.

Did green once. The motion to simulate the intense acceleration made me a bit queasy. The non-spinning motions used to create the sense of acceleration is rougher/harsher than anything on the orange side, as the orange side uses spinning instead (which does not bother me).

I haven't heard of a single person that shares this perspective, however.

I did green (I think .. to this day I can't remember which .. I don't THINK we would have volunteered for Orange) and my wife and I got motion sick and was just out of it for like an 30-60 minutes afterwards and just needed to sit down and take a break. It took a while before we felt 100% again and vowed to never go back.

Besides .. (this could be biased based on the sickness), but I just didn't find it a very entertaining attraction. Not very memorable besides pushing a few buttons.

I did both and found green pretty boring. Orange wasn't that intense for me either (my thrill seeker kids found it boring). I do get motion sick but had taken a Bonine.
Maybe try green first to see how you feel? That is what I did.

I get very motion sick on spinny type rides and have no problem what so ever with the green side of Mission Space. I have never tried Orange and likely won't because of the motion sickness issue. Unless you're claustrophobic (it's kinda tight quarters) then you should be just fine on the green side.

I get motion sick on spinning rides (no teacups for me!), but I can do Green fine. I did try Orange once (well, the regular ride, before there was a more tame option). It was an incredible experience and I am glad I tried it. That said, I would never do it again. It was hours before I wanted to snack my way around Epcot (and that is saying something!).
