Has anyone been on Mission Space since the new non-spinning?? I cannot ride this without being extremely dizzy all day. Just wondering if the new version is really ok!!

:goodvibes

It was better than I expected. I also didn't like the original in that it was just a bit too much, and never wanted to take my son on it. I took him this time on the green side, and you still get some pretty good effects without any of the dizzyness, which surprised me. I wasn't expecting much going into it. My son liked it so much that we had to ride it 3 times in a row. He really bought into doing his job as one of the 4 roles, as well as "steering" our ship when it went from auto-pilot to manual. Another great thing is that there was never more than a 5 minute wait on that side.

Yeah, the wait on the green side is always much much shorter than the orange side. We rode both back to back (green then orange) to see the difference. I was more impressed with the green side than I thought I'd be, it was essentially like a good simulator ride- still moves back and forth, etc. It just didn't have the intense force you feel during take-off and when shooting around Mars.

We both always feel a bit woozy after the orange side- but we were fine after the green one. You'll be fine :goodvibes

Chicken here! I never rode the more intense ride. I went on the non-spinning side this past trip, and I loved it. No dizziness whatsoever!

Just got back and rode the tame side. I have always been too scared to ride the orange side, since I get really nauseated on the simulator rides. I did not like being closed into that tiny compartment with no way out. Once I got over that, the ride was actually pretty good. The only part that made me a little sick was the landing on Mars. Much tamer than other simulators, really felt like you were in space. A little claustrophobic in the simulator.

Glad to hear all the good news!! Now I'm really looking forward to the ride!!

Thanks guys!!

:thumbsup2

We rode the non-spinning side first (I was leery of the intense version), and it was awesome! DH wanted to experience the spinning side, so before we left we tried it. He thought it was better, but I didn't enjoy it as much because I was worried about how it was affecting me during the ride. You can definitely feel the g-force effects created by the spinning. After the ride, I felt a little dizzy for a few minutes, but not like I did after getting off the Rockin' Roller Coaster...my head didn't feel right for a couple of hours after getting off that ride!
