Nope. Can't sleep... just kinda sitting here in a daze.. listening to Maroon 5, with a diet coke..

Its getting close now.
I am sooooooo excited. I really do hope I get to meet you.
driving me bonkers, but I know they can't help it.. they are just excited about our tripGlad everything went ok![]()
Now don't panic or anything but you're down to 5 days to get ready![]()

Many moons ago, before DH had found his reason for living (before we met, in other words) he got a massive sliver of pressure treated wood in his foot. Went to doctor, doctor take out. No biggie. Fast forward 2 months,, he was having trouble walking from some random foot pain.
Back to another doctor, they did and X Ray, and lo and behold! there is more of the same wood in his little tootsie. So, they did a little in-house surgery to get it out.
The doctor that left the wood in his foot was in connecticut (DH is from Branford).![]()
DH has had foot pain off and on for years, but we thought it was just due to his job. On the X Ray it looks like a smallish splinter. maybe 1/2 inch long. From the way he and his mother tell it, the original injury was pretty bad, beginning with an ER visit and ending in the botched surgery.
So the splinter moved from the tootsie to the heel?He has one of those velcro shoe thingies to put on, but he just can't put much weight on it yet. Such a small incision, but it may as well be a foot long when it's on the bottom of your heel!
I hope he gets better soon. Are the boys excited? My ds is so excited. My dd 15 is to cool to get excited. I almost decided to leave her home with her grandmother, but I can't do that. She will magically turn back into my little princess when we get to disney world (it could happen).
So the splinter moved from the tootsie to the heel?

Geez, that sounds so painful. That is a tough part of your foot to have an injury![]()
I think it's good that he is getting more rest on his foot today...more time to heal!
So you have a crack in your bathtub? That sounds like something that would happen to me just days before a trip. It's not like you have anything else to do than fix the tub, right![]()
I forget what time you leave on Saturday? Will you have any time that day to get anything done? We fly out early Sunday so I have no time other than to get up and get everyone dressed and out the door. Of course when you're getting up to go to Disney, you have some incredible sort of energy that just takes over and continues until you have to leave to come home!
