Not sure if the story of Missing Woman: Michelle Parker has made national headlines or not, but it's all over the local Orlando stations. To quickly sum things up; Michelle went missing November 17, and her ex-fianee was (as now is again) a suspect in her disappearance. Well, the story has a slight Disney connection.
When I first saw pictures of her ex (Dale Smith Jr.), I thought that he looked strangely familiar. Well one day, after getting a good look at him and finally hearing his name, I instantly knew why he looked familiar. He's one of the Star Wars Weekends faithful!!!!!
I have been known to be one of the crazy people that gets to Hollywood Studios at like 3 in the morning; just to get a chance at grabbing an Autograph FastPass. And for many of those mornings, I would see Dale out there as well. But beyond that (as you can tell by the picture), he has also dressed as Luke Skywalker for the Celebrity Motorcade. [For the Star Wars unknowledgeable; that's him in the front.] I'm not sure if there's any Disney connection beyond that. But it's an interesting feeling when you see a familiar face at the center of negative headlines.
Here's a news link to more info on the case: http://www.wesh.com/news/29873652/detail.html
