After 3 phone calls asking where my VM was, I finally received my VM a week ago!! You would think they could fix this problem but I don't see it yet. For almost 2 years now I have had to call and request my VM each time. If it wasn't for the fact many here announce it's in, I wouldn't know to look for it. I have been a member since 1997 and have never had problems until now. I wonder if they changed contracts for their mailings?

Funny thing, on all the surveys I have received there is never a place that addresses VM receipt. . . I think I will now do this as a write in response and give it POOR markings.

Oh yes, my missing confirmation for my Dec VWL ressies arrived at the same time. It took 4 requests for this--and I'm not including the 1st one when I made the reservation. . . The last minute one I made for March arrived at the same time and yes, my friends had no trouble checking into BWV. They had a blast and now want to convince DH to let them buy DVC!! All that matters is they had fun!! They were in a PV Studio at BWV and saw Illuminations from their balcony. Not bad for calling 2 weeks out!!

Is there a "new" VM yet? LOL!! I probably missed that one too!!

DVC Eeyore,

I'm in the direct mail industry so I might be able to offer some suggestions to you. First off it seems like you aren't getting yours, but others are (since you see posts about it here). That indicates to me that there isn't a problem with who is mailing it, but there might be a problem with your data.

Most mail houses do a mailsort to the get the best possible postage for the mailing. These programs will also spit out bad records as rejects (incomplete address, house number that is unknown for that street, etc.).

In addition any one of these things could also be causing it not to be delivered by the post office even if the piece does get mailed out.

I would suggest calling DVC and confirming all mail information they have on you to make sure it is correct. I would also inquire how often they send their data for the mailings (I would think each time since it is quarterly but you never know).

Anyway it could be something as simple as a mis-spelled street or a digit off your address. Of course it could also be a problem at your local post office - don't know what help I can add for that.

Hope this helps.

WDWLVR,
It's not the address as everything else is delivered, it comes to a PO Box. That is the problem I am having with this entire mess. I receive everything else including junk mail and yet one little VM goes missing all the time. There isn't much you can do wrong with a PO Box address. All the spellings are correct--though they did spell my name wrong once but I gather from what has been said here on the boards a lot of people had spelling problems on their last names and street names as well that one time so it wasn't an isolated issue. I place the blame with the people who are being paid to send these as I never receive them. MS seems to have a blase attitude about this as well. They seem to think "research" is going to clear it up. If it's never been mailed how can "research" fix this problem as there is no proof it's been mailed, or not as the case may be.

Thanks for your suggestions though. I will be moving in a few months and will double check the address to ensure it's proper down to the abbreviations but once again I will be using a PO Box so I don't know how much more I can do for accuracy. . .

DVC Eeyore, did you know you can get the VM at the DVC members website? I know it's not the same as getting it in the mail, but if you really want it, it's out there.
