The problem with Twitter is that people want to be the first to tweet. They might not necessarily be accurate.

I think this must not be true though as they also said in presser that operations are being suspended to refill oxygen levels and rest divers. Once in chamber 3, they can walk out so no need for divers.

I think 6 will be out. 4 in hospital and I think 2 more will be. I am on a forum with folks who are really following a lot of twitter and translating. Many say 6 are out.

That is odd. Normally I trust the BBC as they are a credible news source. But, I watched the interview with the Thai official just a short while ago. The CNN interpreter interpreting him clearly said only 4 boys got out. And the Thai official gave the times the 4 boys got out. That was it. No other boys or times. I typed it out as the interpreter said it, in a post above.He also said the rescue operations are suspended for the evening. The divers need rest and they need to reset and strategize for tomorrow.


This is like that old game of Telephone. Where every one repeats different things they hear and it's hard to figure out which is the real truth.

The BBC SE Asia Correspondent (Jonathan Head) tweeted 10 minutes ago 4 boys out, per the Ops leader.
I will watch Jonathan Head's tweets to see if anything changes.

BBC have modified that 6 report slightly (to "four confirmed, though some people were saying six"). I think 6 was the talk an hour ago, but that was never confirmed. Only takes one person to think they saw something for it to be repeated a few times and then assumed as fact.

Maybe 2 are stuck resting on one of the Chambers/Galeries. It may have been too much for the divers to do 6 at once. They might have run out of oxygen too. And that is why the Thai official said they need to re-strategize tonight.

Plus we are all hoping so much that they could get out half the boys.

Probably he saw or heard that 2 more ambulances were on their way to the entrance. But it was accidentally a repeat of the second two ambulances going up.

That actually makes more sense that they'd move all the boys closer. Why make a 6 hour trek each time if there is a closer area above water and they know they are getting them out tomorrow. It would be easier for the divers to get to tomorrow and for the boys not to have to travel so far in one trip.

AND if it floods, (I heard it's been raining there on & off, ) and the boys have to make the journey totally under water, the less time under, the better.

I wish they would switch the next groups to 2 groups of 4 & 5, instead of 3 groups of 3. With the long waits they're doing between groups to let the divers rest, I'm really worried about a flash flood causing problems for the final group(s).

You'd think they could have a larger number of divers, so that a pair could be assigned to each person being rescued, & no divers would have to repeat. I guess the lack of that speaks to how much skill is required.

An ex U.S. Navy seal ABC consulted with had said by deciding to bring out the weakest boys first, if something did go wrong, they could quickly expedite moving the stronger boys earlier & faster as they are more fit to make the changes.

I also heard overnight (our time) there was an accident involving a truck full of rescuers who were working from “above”, and that one of the passengers was in very serious condition, and there were others injured as well. We haven’t heard much about it with all the other activity today.
