Okay, so last year I missed 3 days of school for our trip to FL in October. I didn't have trouble making up the work, and none of my teachers gave me a hard time about it.
However, this December, I will be missing seven days of school...
I'm not worried about the work that much, but I'm worried about telling my teachers about it. I mean, what will their reactions be, to a senior in high school missing that much school for a vacation? Also, our school has a new attendance policy. I think I might be put under social suspension for missing that much school in a semester (which means no extracurricular activities like drama club... for a couple weeks) unexcused. On top of that, as a new incentive to get kids to come to school, if I were to miss only 6 days or less, I'd get a FREE senior prom ticket.
If I could, I'd rather go during a school vacation... but we can't. My mom can only get this time off of work, and everything is already paid for, so I have to go (not that I'd want to miss WDW!)
What kinds of experiences have you all had with missing school to go to WDW?
