Missing park reservation due to flight delay

So we fly in Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving and had planned to get to Epcot around 6, try to ride a few rides and see the fireworks. What happens if our flight is delayed or we just get there too late to make it worth while to go to Epcot? I know I can cancel the reservation but the only other day we do not have a park reservation is Saturday and there is zero availability for the parks. I’m just trying to prepare since I know Wednesday is the worst day to travel and with all the delays and cancellations I just want to have some kinda back up plan. We have hoppers too if that makes any difference.

1. Nothing.
2. Nothing to worry about. No "penalties."
Here's hoping your travels go well!
Have fun!

If you're delayed, you can try to book something Saturday morning if it opens up. Yesterday all parks were 'gray' but this morning AK is showing availability. Hopefully you're able to go to Epcot Wednesday but if you miss it and hope to find another reservation, just keep trying. I would also recommend not relying on the park availability calendar to let you know if something is open as it is not updated real-time. You're better off to try and book a reservation and see what might come up.

Going to be Debbie downer, there is no way your flight will be time and traffic will be flowing smoothly on Wednesday . 2nd busiest travel day at MCO of the year.
Good thing no worries if you don't make it to EPCOT.

The park availability keeps changing. As of right now, Saturday has Epcot availability.

Just keep checking for it to open

That being said this is why I switched to flying in the night before and I'm staying at the Hyatt inside MCO and taking ME to my resort early in the morning..

This makes for such a relaxing start to vacation. When we flew into Mco we did the same.
we used to be able to “ rent” a room there for part of the day , use the pool and have a room to relax in if we had a late flight after a cruise. Great hotel and so convenient.
safe travels and enjoy ur visit b

You still can. They have day rates and night rates.

I agree, keep checking as park reservations are fluid and keep changing.
If you miss your park reservation, the only "penalty" is you can't hop to another park that day until you tap into the park with your reservation. There is no monetary penalty for not using a park reservation.
Good luck with your trip.
