Missing my fastpass window?

Our 60 day window to get fast passes is March 12th. I don't think we'll have all our tickets by then. We are going May 11th-May 18th. Do you think i'll be ok waiting until sometime in April for fast passes? I'm so worried about not getting them for certain rides. It's not a very busy time of year but I'm still nervous ;)
TIA

Why not book what you can and then it will be easier to add it a fewer number of guests later on? Also, it's only the big three (four?) that can be trouble.

SDD, FOP, SDMT, but even those, with the changes are a bit easier. SDD is still reporting 60+1, but FOP is down to 58 days, I think. And SDMT is over 30, but well under 60.

If you wait till April I would not expect to get either pandora ride, slinky dog, or seven dwarves. Other than that you should be ok, but the times may not be ideal. lf you have a large group that will make things more difficult.

If you do not book at 60 days for SDD, FOP and SDMT, you most likely will be stalking and trying to find what you need at times you can use. All the others, not so much.

With “the changes”? What changes chopped 6 days off of getting FoP?

IMO the criticality of the 60 day mark is overated for all but FoP, SDD, and 7DMT. You can generally manage most everything else with a little flexibility. It might not all work out, but it’s not the end of the world in terms of FP availability.

Cancelling the FPs for people who cancel their onsite stays.
Yes, I know of those very recent changes, but where do I see the data that these changes have already cut 6 days off the window of opportunity to get FoP?
Has it really gone from 60+4 to 58? You mean you can sleep through the first two days of your fast pass window...not even try for fast passes till day 58, and still get FoP for everyone in your party at the time you want? Where did you read this?

How many people are you looking to get FPs for? As a PP mentioned, can you not book for the ones you have and add the rest later?

I’ll be there those same dates ☺️

I wouldn’t recommend it, but there’s a website that tracks availability and yes, FOP is as of today, at 58-59 days, SDD is 60+1. Increased availability times with the policy change, but no one here can prove positive that’s the reason.

That said, I expect all that availability to dry up in the morning when my window opens because that’s just my luck. lol

You should try to book as many of your tickets as you can when your FP window opens. Otherwise, you will have a difficult time getting FOP, SDD, and SDMT. Unfortunately, every time of the year is busy now and while some are worse than others, there is no slow time anymore.

Agree with this - get FP for tickets you have now at your 60 day mark, then try to modify to add others on when you get them. Can't hurt - as mentioned easier to get for smaller numbers as you get closer, than for whole group. Also even if you can't modify for larger number, you can try and get overlapping window, such as 5 of you have 2-3:00 and other two get 2:30-3:30 so all ride together, or one gets 2:45, and one gets 2:55, and all go at end of window.

The Dibb is reporting this as availability:

I booked April 28 to May 3 this week and was surprised to be able to get everything easily. Got FOP for April 30 at 12:30pm. I was trying to push it earlier but couldn’t. There’s still availability for 5:00pm for 2, I just checked.

I'm not sure if this will ever work again, but when I took my students I could not get any FOP fastpasses. But I kept stalking and stalking and was finally able to book 21 fastpasses in the morning at the 30 day mark. So there is still a chance. I think they *may* open some up at the 30 day mark.

Unfortunately the kids' Y.E.S. session went into over time and they missed the fastpass window completely, but I suppose that's besides the point. :confused3
