Anyone else miss this place as much as I? I mainly miss the atmosphere with the monorails zipping overhead and taking in the Contemporary's vibe.

The food was so-so last time I went. I had the fillet and it had some gristle on it but wasn't terrible. Also service was ok but not the best.

Mainly I just miss the atmosphere

I miss going there as well. I remember going there a couple times, and even if though wasn't the greatest food, I loved it because I've always had a soft for the Contemporary.

I miss it also. We always had a good meal and good service. Really enjoyed watching the monorail, did not enjoy the noise from Chef Mickey. We have tried the Wave and were not fond of the food.

We actually liked eating there. The food was pretty good, and that was the first place we got the "Lighted---ice cubes".

Sad to see her gone.

Safe travels.

I miss their bfast food. They had sticky mickey... oh goodness... that was SO stinkin yummy.

If you primarily miss the atmosphere with the monorails zipping overhead and taking in the Contemporary's vibe, you can still get that at Contempo Cafe.

I liked breakfast there, but I think The Wave has more interesting options overall. And while I think The Wave's atmosphere is kind of lame, Contempo Cafe is far better than the old quick service location by the lobby.

When it was open my family and I went there a few times for dinner and thought it was very good. However I also agree with DonaldDoleWhip that with the Contempo Cafe replacing it that has become a much better counter service location for the Contemporary and the fact you can still see the Monorail from there.

We really don't miss it. It had just gone down-hill so much that, combined with the noise from CF next door, it just wasn't an enjoyable dining experience any longer.

I miss it too. On mine and DH's first trip together to WDW, this was our first meal there together. Later in the evening, after eating here, DH (then just boyfriend) asked me to marry him while on a Wishes fireworks cruise.

I miss it too. We had great Thanksgiving and Christmas Day meals there.

We really like Concourse Steakhouse. It was no big deal to get in there for dinner, the food was good, and it was teeming with Disney atmosphere.:earsboy:

Its funny because we were just talking about the Concourse steak house. It was our first meal at Disney World back on Mothers Day 2005. We are very sad that it is gone.

Agree that the CC makes a better CS but IMO the Wave isn't a better TS than Concourse. We still dwell on the fact the Concourse is gone every time we start talking about ADRs. We would eat dinner there at least once a trip and sometimes twice. Breakfast was good too.

We also loved the Concourse. It would have been a must do on all our trips and the Wave I just to do desire it at all.

We also miss the Concourse Steakhouse:sad1:
It was always our "arrival dinner" and kinda what started our vacation.
Oh and yes....I miss those wonderful "Stickey Mickey's"

So many of our favorites at the CR, including the Concourse Streakhouse, are gone. There was also the Pueblo Room (south of the Councourse Steakhouse - great prime rib), the original Outer Rim Lounge (across from Concourse Steakhouse - great shrimp platter and prime rib submarine sandwich), The Gulf Coast Room (4th floor - good for a romantic dinner), and the old Top of the World (great dinner show, but even better breakfast and brunch). Initially, these restaurants started giving way to expansion when WDW started adding more resorts and then to the much more casual "amusement park mindset" that's prevalent today.

Funny that too was always our first place to eat at Disney. We goto the Wave now the past 2 times for our opening dinner ADR. The Wave is great. Food is good too but not the best.

Agreed the cafe does allow for the Contemporary atmosphere. I ate lunch there twice when I went solo few years ago and sat on the couch by hte window watching the Searacers zip around

We miss it too......we had several excellent dinners there. We were very sad to see it go :(.
