Don't you hate it when you don't take that extra step to talk and find out more about a person you see in the parks( that appears to be traveling alone of course!). It hit me during this trip! Wish I had found out more about someone who held a door for me in Japan this morning. I think my goal next time is to go out of my comfort zone and chat more. I just never seem to think about it at the time.

I've actually been practicing doing this after I heard this guy talk about approaching people and starting up conversations. So far it's been going good. I definitely had to work up the courage to do so quite a few times, but I have my opening conversation down. I think Disney would be an excellent place to practice, because if you make a fool of yourself, you probably won't see the person ever again.

Also, I never seemed to think about it at the time either, which is why I like to practice different scenarios ahead of time. This way you have something to draw from quickly.

heck when I am alone or with others - will talk to anyone - single or families - most people are definitely willing to talk. even the ones in the IPOD and other stuff.

the lines at Disney can go faster if you are talking to someone.

now sometimes I have been ignored - but realize it more he/she than you. they are the ones with the problem. pixiedust:
