Misplaced Transfer Points

Rats...my transfer point seem to have disappeared! Last April I transferred 67 points from my Sep UY membership to my June UY membership (stripped those points prior to sale). They should be valid from last month to Sep 2023. After they transferred them, I could see them if I tried to book a reservation during that period. Since then, I sold my Sep UY contract and bought another June UY contract. Yesterday after my new contract points got loaded I checked to see what points are visible if I try to book a reservation in April 2023. I should still have those 67 points available for that, but now they are not there.

Is there any way I can see a history record that would show when they disappeared? Or is it something that only MS would be able to see, if at all?
 
Have you already checked the Activity Statement? That's the only thing I can think of that might help. You'll probably end up calling - recently the hold times have been reasonable. Good luck!

Thanks. Yeah, I tried that but it doesn't show me anything. I'm going to call this afternoon and see if they can find them.

I think because that membership and contract that I transferred the points out of doesn't exist any longer I can't pull up an activity statement for it.

However, I just realized I saved electronic copies of the printouts of the old statements from when I sold that contract. It shows the transactions when those points were transferred. It's good I saved them.
 

Let us know if they were able to load those back for you. It is a good thing to know incase someone does the same thing and sells off a different use year membership.

I called MS, and they are able to see the points. So they are still there and it is merely a glitch that makes them invisible to me if I try making a reservation. It wasn't a problem before, but maybe the changes caused it (sold a contract and dissolved that membership number, added a new contract, etc...) Who knows, maybe when they changed the borrowing restrictions something happened.

Anyway, I'm not really concerned about it now that I know the points are still there. I'll just have to call MS next month when I modify my June reservation. I'm not too worried about the availability for extending our stay a few days at the SSR treehouse, and this should be a one time event.

Even though I didn't need it, I still recommend that anyone transferring points keep a backup record like I did. If someone at MS had made a mistake, it might have been important.
 
Update:

I called and was able to modify my reservation yesterday, although it took a while (about 30 minutes). There were technical difficulties using the transferred points, and they had to get a supervisor. Eventually it was sorted out and I got my reservation modified using the transferred points.

However, this created another minor problem in that I needed 21 additional points and they took it from the wrong contract. I ended up fixing that today, and I was able to do it on the website myself. In my case this was easy because there are plenty of treehouses available the first half of June and I just cancelled the whole reservation outright so I could start over. After I cancelled the reservation I was able to see all my points including the transferred points.

So I ended up making the reservation again, using the points I wanted. All done now finally.

I don't know if this was a typical experience of using transferred points, or if my case was unusual.
