Miracles Do Happen

A few years ago a cleaning lady stole some jewlery from me and I eventually found most of it in a pawn shop except for a ring my mother gave me when I graduated from college.

Every once in a blue moon I will stop by the pawn shop looking for the ring. I haven't been in a long time and my mom died September 4th.

Today I had to run an errand down by the pawn shop and thought I'd look in, I could not believe my eyes, there was my ring. I had to buy it back but that was ok becasue the insurance had paid me for it long ago.

I'm so HAPPY it's one of the only things I have to remember her by, it was a really special day the day we went to pick the ring out together.

It's been a tough year for me, so this takes some of the sting away.
