Minor nephew CC member?

So quick question for anyone who may know about this, my inlaws are taking us(my family, sister in laws, their families) on DCL in August. We are Gold(so we already did our online check in), no one else but my 15yo nephew has cruised before(with us years ago). It let me do the online checkin already for the cabin he is in with his mom and sister(I guess he is silver- so that's why), will he also get a Silver CC gift? Just curious- because he is a minor- I wasn't even expecting to be able to do the online checkin(but the option was there). The other cabins aren't until May 18.

Since the online check-in recognizes him as a silver, then he should receive the silver CC gift. If there's a problem he can ask his stateroom host, since the host will be the one putting the gifts in the rooms.

CC status for the stateroom goes by the highest CC member booked to that cabin -- even if it's a child. Yes, that cabin should receive the Silver CC gift based on your nephew's status. As you've already noticed, you can do online check-in at the Silver date and should also be able to book excursions and onboard activities for any members of that cabin as well.

My daughter was 10 when she was the only CC member in my mom's cabin in 2013. She did get the silver gift.

Another thing: lanyards are given out to each passenger based on their individual CC status. So, your nephew will get a Silver lanyard at check-in, but is mother and sister won't get one at all since they have no CC status yet. Hopefully this will put a big grin on his face! Last year, I cruised with a family in a similar situation. The 5-year-old boy got a silver lanyard, but his mother didn't. It made everyone laugh.
