Does anyone know the requirements for flying within Canada for a 14 year old with parents? Her passport expired during covid and we hoped to fly within Canada but my wallet with her health card and SIN was just stolen. Would her birth certificate suffice as thats all I have left at this point..though I did get the new temp health card but its just a paper? I cant find anything specific to minors. Thx

From Air Canada's website (I would assume most carriers would be the same within Canada)
Young Travellers:

For travellers younger than 18, an original birth certificate or non-government issued ID (e.g. a student card) is suggested but not mandatory, unless our Unaccompanied Minor Service is used.

Wow, so essentially nothing?? I would be ahead of the game with a birth certificate? Thank you so much!! I have tried to contact our line but havent got a response yet.
