For our upcoming trip I'm planning on us having the Minnie & Friends character breakfast at DL. (1) I know the price is $23.99/each (I know the kids are cheaper but both my nieces are over 9 so it's full price for all of us). I would have to assume that price includes drinks, i.e. milk, juice, coffee. Is that correct or are drinks extra? (2) Is it possible to make ADRs before the park opens or are the first available ADRs as soon as the park opens? I want to be able to be there as early as possible so we can get started riding some rides! (3) Are tips included or is this a place where I need to plan on tipping? Thanks for your help.

Yes drinks are included in the price.

Yes you can make reservations for before the park opens. If you have a MM don't use it on your Minnie breakfast day. You can use Minnie's to get in early and get a jump on rides and then a different day use your MM for the same purpose.

I forget about tips. I want to say we tipped but I'm not certain on that.

I didn't tip. Didn't know I was supposed to. But I don't really feel bad since we got everything ourselves and only saw a server when the asked if things were okay. Drinks were included. They had individual Nesquick chocolate milks which the CM behind the drink bar encouraged us to take a few of for the day. A nice perk. Also loved the free pins and free balloons for kids. We've done Goofy's a lot, and I think we actually liked Minnie's better.

On regular park opening days the first reservation is for 10 minutes before the park opens. On MM days it's 50 minutes before the regular opening.

If you make an early reservation on a MM day, do you have to use your MM to get in, or can you get in early that day and use your MM another day?

I think you can go to Minnie's without using your MM but if you want to be sure (without asking that is) just use your MM first and then the next MM day make reservations for Minnie's.

Looks like you are going in June. Expect the adult price to be $27.99 then since Disney charges peak pricing for that time of year usually. Drinks are included and self-serve. We enjoy visiting Minnie's during MM when we don't have MM available to us. Everybody's philosophy on tipping is different. Disney does not charge a tip in advance for this meal, so you can decide for yourself what you consider appropriate. You walk through the buffet line and get your own drinks. The only table service you will receive is to have your plates cleared away during your meal.

That is correct. It doesn't require or use your MM up to enter early to eat there on a MM day. The character breakfast entrance is on the far right. They will ask for your party size and name the reservation is under. Check you off the list, scan your ticket/AP and hand you a button and direct you to the Plaza Inn.

Facing which way? The last time (August 2011) and previous times we went to Minnie's character breakfast during early entry, the designated entrance was the far left gate when facing the entrance from outside the park. Has this changed? In any case, there is usually a special free-standing sign placed out in front, and the marquee above the gate says something like "Character Breakfast".

That's the way it was a few weeks ago.

I fixed that.

The last time I did the breakfast at Plaza Inn, I was very disappointed because I missed all the interaction between the characters and my two grandkids while I was standing in line for food. The serving line was very slow -- not enough food prepared and not enough servers. I complained to the manager and she gave me a refund on part of the bill.
I had the same experience on a prior visit. Hopefully they have fixed the problem.

Yea I can see how that can happen. We've been there once and found it difficult to get food and eat because there was very little time between characters. Our saving grace was having FIL there so we made sure to have 2 adults at the table at all times for pictures and video. I can see how difficult it would be with 2 adults and next to impossible with one adult.

It worked out for us and we had a great time. But if you go without a plan you could find yourself very stressed out trying to get food while characters are going to your table interacting with your young one.

fyi tax and tip is included in the price, no need to tip extra unless your server has done something amazing for you. :) Just so you know. :) I think your other questions are all answered. :)

How early before they open do reservations start? Can you only get on the rides early if it happens to be ON a MM day tho? Or can I go on, say, Monday and get on some rides before the park opens? (Thanks for letting me piggy back, dnsmills)

Can anyone let me know if there are any maximums on table size? I am planning to go down with 9 and wanted to go to the character dining at the Plaza Inn.

We were told in January that tip was NOT included. I left money at our table, but not the standard tip because I could have sworn it was included.

We always leave a little extra tip. A few bucks is fine and the staff is typically very nice.

On regular park opening days the first reservation is for 10 minutes before the park opens. On MM days it's 50 minutes before the regular opening.

That should answer it.
