Minnie Van help :)

Hey all,

We are staying at AKL and are hoping to use Minnie Van service to AK on a Saturday morning. Are the hours still 6:30-12:30? Does that mean that 6:30 is the earliest pick up time? Or is 6:30 when vans start to be available so actual pick up time might be later? Are they hard to get? Would getting a regular lyft or Uber be easier? Never used the service before so any other tips would be great! Thanks!

We've stayed at AKL in the past year - and while I wasn't trying get one that early (more like 7-9am)... it was YMMV for us. Sometimes it would connect with one quickly... sometimes it'd search forever and eventually time out.

We need car seats so Uber/Lyft isn't an option... but if you don't have the same needs, I'd recommend having both ready as backups.

I believe 6:30am is when the first shift starts so it'll be when they first start rolling on the road and available, although have not personally checked the app at that hour to see what shows up pre 6:30am.

We just left AKL (Kindani) a couple days ago. We tried several times to get a Minnie Van and could never get one. We had a friend with us that really wanted to ride in one too. I was very disappointed it. Worse part, we were at BWI before they joined us and got one from there without issue. I think the distance worked against us

Hmm..that's good to know. Where you able to get regular lyft/uber drivers or did you have trouble with that as well? My husband is not a fan of the disney bus...so if uber/lyft aren't options...we may need to rent a car...

No problems with getting regular Uber/Lyft drivers there.

Ok thanks! We wanted the minnie van just for the "Fun" factor. There's only 3 of us...so we don't need the "van". We'll try for the minnie vans but good to know regular uber/lyft is an option.

This was us. We didn't need the van. But one of our group was a special needs adult who is crazy about Minnie and I was really hoping to get her a ride in one. We never left the parks at the same time so a ride back to the resort wasn't feasible to work.
