There's a thread title i never thought i'd type
(this doesn't perfectly fit on any of the different boards, i think this is the closest, if i'm wrong please move it)

Following a link from another thread about tigger and a lawsuit, i saw a lawsuit regarding minnie mouse
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incidents_at_Disney_parks#minnie_mouse

For those who don't want to follow links:
  • On June 7, 2009, a 60-year-old man from Cressona, Pennsylvania allegedly touched Minnie Mouse's breasts while he was visiting the Magic Kingdom. He was convicted of misdemeanor battery on August 11, 2009.
What i'm wondering is how he grabbed her breasts, obviously it must be human breasts as minnie is, shall we say undeveloped, between the human and the outside there is the thick foam suit as well as several layers of clothing (minnie & human) how on earth can you even feel that there is a human inside let alone, be able to make out body parts and grope them?

All speculation I guess, but I wonder if he went to grab that area as a 'joke' for a photo opportunity and/or to 'amuse' himself/his party? If so, he deserves everything that's coming to him, in my opinion.

That's just wrong and I'm glad I wasn't there with my kids when it happened.

You don't know if the human inside is male or female, so how did he know he wasn't grabbing moobs? (manbreasts) :rotfl2:

Looking through that link, it's amazing how stupid people act.
(but with as many people how pass through the gates almost suprised there isn't more.)
In most cases it was a medical issue or stupidity on the guests part.
I saw only a couple where Disney was actually at fault in some way.

As for Minnie. Just an old man being a pervert.:sad2:

I grabbed Pooh's butt @ Crystal Palace:guilty:

im not a perv:laughing:, my family was squishing in for a pic & I wrapped my arm behind him while seated and....:rolleyes1let's just say i'll make very sure where i place my arm on a charactar in the future.

Pooh pantomined laughing, etc., evidently thought it was very funny (or maybe it was the panic-striken look on my face when I realized where my hand had landed)

my point is, unless it's deliberate action; this sort of thing can happen without ulterior motives.

He's lucky Mickey didn't go postal on him.
:rotfl: That's what I was thinking!
I'm glad that people that are sick like this are prosecuted. Even thought they probably don't get a good "feel" through the suit, that is not something that small children should have to see.

I have a nice photo of my three year old giving Cinderella a hug with his hand right on her ****. She just politely moved his hand off and continued hugging him. I think if you take that job then you should know accidents will happen but not from a 60 year old man. :grouphug:

This reminds me of an incident that happened to my friend a few years ago. We were meeting Stitch at Animal Kingdom. My friend looooooves Stitch... her favorite character. She was playing with Stitch and talking to him and absent mindedly started playing with his little tuft of hair on his chest... all of a sudden she jerked her hand back and got very shy and red in the face... later I asked her what happened and she said she suddenly realized she was playing with some grown man or woman's chest and that it might be seen as inappropriate!

Just to throw in my 2 cents....performers and those who are character "friends" are very aware of hands and body language. It happens, sometimes because of character shape or size some people accidentally grope or touch or hit something they shouldn't. It happens and most character friends will laugh it off or try to make a guest not feel to bad, it happens, accident, it's a little different than hugging or touching a friend becuase it's different body shape. However, it is very hard to "accidentally" grope someone. Grope implies more than just a brush with something. The characters usually know the difference between awkwardness and a deliberate innappropriate gesture, contact or pose. Plus, with Minnie, there isn't as many "layers" or "padding" as you might think. Minnie is a very skinny mouse. She likes to keep her good figure. Trust me, there is very little extra "padding" on Minnie's good physique.
Have a Magical Day!!!

PS - I feel a little perverted because I was drawn to this thread by the title. LOL

Yep same here, and then I opened the thread and the OP is Jessica Rabbit and I'm thinking
hubba hubba  and that reminded me of how I used to like when Bugs Bunny would dress up like a tart and :offtopic: ....but I digress

No Fondling the Cast! :hyper:::MinnieMo

Back a few years ago, when they still had AP lounges in the park, we were at the one in EPCOT. They brought quite a few characters up for the AP holders to interact with while we relaxed having sodas and snacks and coloring Disney artwork with crayons. It was a very happy, relaxing time for us.

Then Pluto comes in and DS Girlfriend, who by then is very into playing with the characters starts petting Pluto. Well.... Pluto goes down on the floor, belly up as dogs tend to do when they are happy and she starts to tickle his belly:scared1:. All of a sudden she realizes what she is doing, stops and turns bright red. So who's fault was it that she ended up molesting a character, hers for petting a dog or the dog for acting like a dog?

I know it's "the other park" but we were at US last December (after our WDW trip.) We were in line to meet Scooby, and this mid-20s male grabbed (not a pretend grab - he downright grabbed him) Scooby in the worst place possible (for a male.) The guys friends snapped a picture, and they took off running.

I felt so bad for Scooby! His handler wasn't paying any attention at all, so Scooby was jumping up and down trying to portray that something had happened without just flying off the rocker in front of all the kids.

Scooby was leaning down to the guy trying to tell him what happened, and the handler FINALLY realized something was wrong. (He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.) I'd kept an eye on which way the offender went, marched over to the handler, and pointed him in the right direction. The guy (slowly) went off to try to find the people. I'm not sure if he caught them to have them removed from the park (AND, file charges as there was physical evidence - the picture, assuming the camera could be taken away before it was deleted - and witnesses to say what happened.)

Scooby just left and went backstage; the children were upset, so of course then the parents had to tell them that Scooby was sick (although, some kids saw what happened and were questioning it.) It was an AWFUL situation.

Later in the day, we got back in the line to get our picture with Scooby since we weren't able to do so that morning. I posed for the picture, and then suddenly heard "Thanks for trying to help earlier" whispered in my ear. It was the same Scooby. As we walked off, he gave me a big hug and thanked me again.

I still think about that poor guy and feel awful for him.
