The 5K last year was my first event. I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week, but just started back on my running 2 months ago. I did 6.5 miles tonight at an average 15 min pace(4 miles running at 14 min mile and 2.5 miles walking to cool down at an 18 min mile). I am hoping to run the 15K this May.
My question is...for the people that did the 5 and 15k last year, would u recommend that to a new runner? did you get very tired out before the longer race?

If you are following a program that incorporates LR's once a week, you should be fine. As you are training now, your pace will pick up as you get conditioned. You want your pace to be a bit faster than 15 min, especially on the 15K..there are characters to see and people to manuever around!
You experienced how crunched we got in places on the 5K...like the golf course..but it was fun! The 15K has more room, but more stuff to look at as you go through Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
