We are going on a 1 day trip to DL with a 2 and 5 yr old. Ariels is out. They both would have preferred to go there. But would you suggest going here (minnie and friends) for breakfast or just going somewhere else and saving the money?

minnies was grate it is my dh's fav charcter meal. The food waqs good. The server and charcters were awsome. we loved it.
I love goofys dinner but not brunch just not as good food
ariels has a new menu just in case you didnt know
Have fun

if you can afford Minnie and Friends was a wonderful meal of us last year. Its buffet style but the food is good. And there are several characters and we had a CM that made sure we saw each and every character...

Minnie's is supposed to be quite good.

Just curious, why is Ariel's "out"? Were they booked for the time or day you needed?

Minnie's is our favorite character meal.

We had a couple of bad experiences at Goofy's and it will take a whole lot for us to go back.

We enjoy Ariels for our princess fix, but the food isn't as good.

We did Lilo and Stitch. We went on a morning where NO ONE was there, Lilo sat and colored with my DD, too cute, but we didn't care much for the food here either.

We are trying Storytellers for the first time (we've done dinner here) this month, as well as Ariels for breakfast.

Minnie's has the best food and best character interaction based on our experiences. Plus, we really like being IN the park.

My family has never done any of these. We sre considering one for our next trip. What are the prices?

Thanks for the great reviews of Minnie's. I think I will keep the PS arrangements then. This way the kids will get to see the characters. We only have a one day trip without parkhoppers that is why Ariels is out. It just wasn't worth the money with little ones for one day.

Minnie's is a good choice if you want to remain in the park. They have good food and a good assortment of characters.

What day (or date) are you going?

& whatever the day, I highly recommend that you get to the rope 30-40 min. prior to Gen. Adm. opening & do 2 - 2.5 hours of touring (possibly picking up a FP or two as well)......THEN enjoy your character breakfast in the late morning as DL gets more crowded.

Is the 5 y/o a star wars fan?

Is Minnie's normally less crowded later in the morning? I was thinking we would do Goofy's Kitchen but it almost seems a waste of time to have to walk all the way to the Disneyland Hotel. I have four kids ages 4,6,8, and 13. The thirteen year old isn't worried about being embarrased at all so that isn't an issue. Which do you guys think would be better Minnie's or Goofy's? I've also been wondering if PS is needed for the first week of December?

we were there first week dec last year yes ps is needed and id say minnies early morrning is better

Ariels Grotto has a character breakfast now? Does anyone have any links, pics, menus, anything? We went there for dinner in 9/06 and the food was gross gross gross but the princess interaction was great! TIA :wizard:

they have new menu there food was gross before i hope the news better im getting the stake

My ds went to the Minnie and Friends with his Grandparents on Monday. They all said the food was good and he met TONS of characters. They all really enjoyed it.

We always like to do Minnie's at the 10:10 or 10:20 seating. We don't miss that prime ride time and it covers lunch for us. We may nibble on a muffin or bar before rope drop to get us by until our PS time

We did M&F at 10:30 and loved it!! Yes, get a PS just in case.

Ariel's Grotto does a breakfast served family style. You get pastries, fruit, cheese, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. Each person gets their own drink of choice and you get refills on anything you want. It was good but I'd rather do Minnie's. :)

But is it a character breakfast? I looked at the DL website and it's not listed...?:confused3

Yes Ariel's is always a character meal. DD & I had breakfast with Ariel & the others during our 9/07 trip, we'll have dinner with them this Dec.
