Minivan HELP for Xmas Week For Disabled Boy!

Hey everyone,
Last year we went to disney at this time and had no problem finding a minivan for a week for under 250 dollars from alamo but this year when I am looking all I can find is 350- 450 a week. Please can anyone help me find a minivan for that price at any rental car agency in the airport. We need a minivan because my brother has a wheelchair that does not fold and we need the room. For example,last year we had a chevy venture minivan and the back seat folded down which was just perfect. Any help is appreciated

I would suggest just keep watching the rates. It might be too soon for any discounts for that time frame. Also check on www.mousesavers.com for any rental discounts.

I will say that I booked one time for that period and it was outrageous for a car. I think you may have gotten really lucky last year.

Your other problem is that you are going longer then a week. It looks like this could be an 8 day rental. That means you can get a weekly rate with one extra day.. That extra day can be a killer!

I would book something just to lock in. (A few years ago they ran out of cars and quit taking reservations over Christmas) Keep checking and hopefully you will find something cheaper.

would you consider not renting a car at all but rather using disney's transport? i have seen plenty of wheelchairs on the buses... if you are flying into mco, you could take Magical Express to your resort (if you are staying onsite)...

It would be much easier for my brother since he tends to get carsick not to deal with a crowded disney bus and all the stops they make in between but thanks

My daughter's chair does not fold either. We used Mear's, round trip to and from the airport was $29.00 each. Transportation to Sea World was $14.00 each.
