Minimum points and down payment

If you go through Disney what is the minimum points you would have to puy in at? I thought I had read 160 but it seems like I see people posting that they bought in at lower driectly through Disney? Also, is 10% down the minimum if you are to use Disney Financing?

I belive 160 is the minimum for a new owner, but if you currently own you can buy less. 50 points is the minimum to buy and finance through Disney.

160 is the minimum direct with Disney, if you buy resale you can buy less. For downpayments, yes 10% is the minimum for all buyers, some buyers have had to put down more based on their credit scores, etc.

There is an option incentive for buying right now 160 minimum for first purchases you have the option to go on a three day cruise on the brand new Disney Dream for four people!

current cash incentive is $12.00 off per point credit =$1,920.00 credit
10 % down payment is $1,792.00, Amount financed is $14,208.00
MF 791.94 per year or $66.00 per month.

For AKV Cruise offer
160 points $112.00 per point
$17,920 total amount
10% down payment is $1,792.00 Amount financed is $16,128.00

Recently, Disney has been allowing members to buy in at AKV or SSR with only 100 points.

The incentives are not the same as they are at 160, but it is a way to get in with less.

Financing requires at least 10% down and usually it is 10% of the purchase price prior to the incentives.

For new members the Current AKV 100 pt buy in also has a $10 per point incentive making the price per point $102.

Down payment required for 100 points with preferred financing is $1120.

There is two tiers of financing standard 14.25% and preferred 10.75%.

We just bought 100 points at OKW. 10% down was required to proceed with paperwork. Remaining balace was due with our signed papers to be returned 7 days after we got them from Disney since we didn't finance the purchase.
