We're interested in a small add on (40 points or so). I've looked at small resale contracts of 25 points, but then would still need 15. (I'm trying to get to an even number so that our two children would have their own/equal contracts to manage when the time comes.)

Anyway, is there a minimum number of points that DVC will sell a current owner? If we bought a 25 point contract would DVC sell me 15 later to make me whole or is that too small?:confused3

The minimum number of points Disney will sell is 25...so you wouldn't be able to purchase 25 and then add on 15...your right in thinking it's too small

Are you already a member and wanting to add-on to your current membership? If so, you can easily purchase a 40 point add-on.

If you are looking at a small resale purchase for your initial purchase you are limited to whatever size contracts are available. In some cases, with the closing costs involved the cost of the small resale contract may not give you much in the way of savings over a direct purchase. I think the "sold out" resorts can still be purchased thru Disney with no closing costs for initial purchasers and add-ons will not have closing costs thru Disney directly so you might want to consider that too. You can purchase as many points as you wish from Disney as long as the minimum purchase is met.

Good luck! :)

Thanks! I think that the 40 point add on through DVC might be the simplist option. It's just so hard to walk away from some of the resale deals... then I start getting myself into trouble thinking "What if I bought 100 points instead....." It is addicting!! :rolleyes1
