I'm not sure what board this question should go on so feel free to move it!! We are heading down to Saratoga Springs for the first time next week (4 adults), and we thought we'd try miniature golf on this trip. My question is whether to go to Fantasia Gardens or Winter-Summerland; is one better than the other?? Also, how do you get there from SSR?? It'll be fun trying SSR because we usually go to VWL or BWV (we have points at all three and we're thinking of adding on again -- but that's a different issue!!). Thanks for any help!

Let me say that we have done all 4 courses (2 at each) & like each for different reasons.

Winter Summerland is more a "traditional" mini golf. More visual for younger kids. Very cute theming. Lots of color. There is a Summer side & a Winter side. I would say both sides here are equal.

Fantasia Gardens is more challenging. The Fairways course will make you crazy  but it's a fun crazy. It is supposed to be a "real" golf course that has been miniaturized (if that makes sense). No theming, just straight forward golf with sand traps, bunkers, water hazzards, etc. The other side (Fantasia ?) is more traditional mini golf but the theming is primarily done through the use of topiaries, rocks, etc. Fantasia Gardens is much more "green" if that makes sense. BTW, you can hear Fantasmic music from here at night.

We always have no matter which course we are at. If you are traveling with young children or kids who have never done the mini golf thing I would pick Winter Summerland first.

Forgot to add that to get to Winter Summerland take bus to Blizzard Beach. WS is accessible through the parking lot. Fantasia Gardens is across the street from BW. Not sure if there is a dedicated bus for FG or not sorry... (we drive).

Getting to mini golf int he later evening can be tough without a car. We always use the car. Without a car you would take the bus to BB and walk to WSLand, not sure what to do here after hours. To do FG take a bus to the Swan/Dolphin and walk.
The kids really like the courses at Winter Summerland, though my DS a Fantasia Lover really likes the Fantasia Gardens course.

It is fun and a great way to spend an evening.
