I know this has probably be asked a hundred times, but when I try to search anything it doesn't work. But where do you get those cute little mini wedding cakes at and how much do they cost?

They are only available to eat at the GF restaurants (or in room dining at GF). They are $25.

There is an "official' cake thread at the top of the Restaurants board inside the FAQ/Information thread and you can get prices and phone numbers and photos of cakes.

Hi there!

We stayed at the Poly for our 5th Wedding Anniversary in May.

Prior to our arrival I called the GF bakery and ordered two of the small castle cakes.

For pics go to (just put www in front):
weluvdisney.smugmug.com/gallery/1499890/27/71912860

Approximate cost was $12 per cake.

We picked up the cakes near the front desk at the GF. The GF bakery asked us when we would be flying n and approx time we would be picking up the cakes. GF bakery asked us to go to the GF front desk when we arrived and then ask one of the CM to call the bakery. We did just that. Then one of the bakery cm met us in the GF lobby with the cakes.

GF bakery will not deliver to other resorts on property, but you can pick up the cake(s) your self.

I'll go see if I can dig up the number for the GF bakery.

Oooh, thank you in advance for the number. Was it this past May of 2006?

oo this is a fabulous idea!! thanks!!! ::yes:: we are celebrating our anniversary when we go and i would love to surprise DH with this!

I have heard of the Castle cake being picked up but I really think it depends on the CM you talk to because many have had no luck with that.

But I'm 99% sure it's $25 as that is what I and several other DISers have reported paying.

Just call, find out and let us know! :wave2:

At least 48 hours notice.

GF bakery: #407-824-2578
When we tried to order it 6 days early we were told too late, you need to order it 10 days to 2 weeks early. They said that was how long it took them to get the castle topper. This was this past June. We got the Mickey head cake instead. I believe that was $25 also.

Interesting. Maybe the demand is high now for these because when I ordered it for our trip last year I ordered it 48 hours before my trip.

Thanks for the info.

It was a busy time of year when we tried to get it, so that may play a part too.

Poor DH he felt so bad when I could not get it. He knew I was talking about it for months. He ordered me flowers and they came in pink (I hate pink) with a gold balloon. He ordered a Stitch balloon. I thought he was going to loose it then. I had to distract him and when he was over the shock called and they sent a Lilo and Stitch balloon but we kept the pink flowers. The arrangement was very nice. DH also told me I could get one on our next vacation just because.

Oh, your poor DH. At least he tried.

Yes, so the best thing to do is to call within 2 weeks of your trip for a special order cake.
