Today is my birthday! What a great place to spend it at! We wake up, pack up suitcase, check out of hotel and get ready to head to Universal.
Again, we arrive early...the park was lsited as opening up at 9am but we arrive around 8:20. They tell everyone Shrek is ready so we are opening up early! 8:30am the gates open! Off to Shrek!
Now 5yo remembers how scary Spiderman was to her..and it was 3D...so she is already leary of going to see Shrek. I try to tell her it's like Honey I shrunk the Kids that she saw at Epcot this summer (although having really no clue what Shrek was like since back IN may it wasn't open yet for us) and we are one of the first ones to enter the "torture chamber ", haha, ok, great, the 3 little pigs are locked up and my 5yo is letting the flood gates open!
Trying to soothe her and tell her she doesn't have to wear her glasses we enter in....let's jsut say, even without glasses she got scared...and 7yo had to take hers off once in awhile to! There brother is loving every moment of it! haha..and now he has even more ammunition to tease his siters!
We hurry out and head to back to Future..5min wait...girls liked this one..go figure!
Then to MIB, and again, I told them it was kind of like the Buzz lightyear ride...no 3D glasses, lol...only one part did I hear a whimper, overall we did great...and 5yo whipped her sibling with the score...thanks to mom pressing the red button for the bonus=) *wink*, sometimes is cool to hang with mom!
We headed back towards the Et ride, but since itw as only 9:30 it wasn't open yet..so , to my amazement, they wanted to do jawa again..some hesitation from 5yo but we did better this time around. Again, you get it...no wait!
Then we head back to Et, ropes just dropped and off we go, one of the first ones on the ride!
Then to Woodywoodpecker , no lines, we did this 3 x's in a row! All kids loved this one!
Then to the ball put area behind Curios George...everyone had fun shooting the balls at each other...worked up a good sweat but wouldn't let kids get in the water area casue we had to get in car soon=/
The 5yo wanted to see the Barney show...I think I saw the melt down of my 10yo son making him go to the show=) Told him that his sister did a lot of things she didn't want to do...time to do for her now. She loved it...it was a cute show!
Then we went and saw Animal Planet live...packed stadium..crownds finally getting bad around noon! Just in time for us to say, good-bye for now!
I think we did really well....didn't get one fast pass...missed Twister,Earthquake,Terminator 3D and some other shows but got all the major rides in!
Now we are looking forward to our week stay end of next april!! And I hope now that the girls have experienced it once they will do better next time!
Any questions, happy to answer! Thanks!
