Mini Trip Report/ DIS ALERT

See, this message, is a result, of someone having posted on another thread, regarding the travesty, that I apparently, and most inadvertently, seized upon their person, by committing, a grammatical crime.

You just keep writing and talking any old way that you want. I have no problem with you and I am sure there are others who feel the same way.:thumbsup2

I've enjoyed following along on all your trip planning over the last several months! I've found myself thinking over the last few days "I wonder how Jade and that Captain Bane fellow are fairing on their trip?" I haven't visited with you folks much but I am wishing you a lovely vacation! :flower3:

Thank you, DavidsPrincess! :) :flower3:

I know that I have had run on sentence issues, since high school!

(Once again, clears throat) Forgive me, anyone, that may find themselves, becoming lost, dazed or otherwise confused, by my tendency towards run on sentences. I beg the forgiveness of all, who may be the unwitting victims of such a terrible, and most egregious, punctuation crime!
See, this message, is a result, of someone having posted on another thread, regarding the travesty, that I apparently, and most inadvertently, seized upon their person, by committing, a grammatical crime. Tisk, tisk, I hope that there is not a fine, for such controversy, for I rather like my run on sentences. Also, I do like to use words, that might make it necessary for some to look them up in the dictionary, not out of haughtiness, but rather, for the sheer pleasure that I take in stating what I consider good, and most appropriate as well. I am so sorry for that too! but tough! I like my dictionary, and love spell check, so you see, I am not all that bad! (so I like to think, anyway!)

Thanks all,

So far its been a good trip, I got stomache ill yesterday morning and wasnt able to Enjoy BB as much as I wanted.

Just ate Jades salad from her meal, DS didnt like his chicken and pasta so the CM took it off our ticket, and since I wasnt able to eat the dessert I wanted she brought us the treasure chest for FREE! So it wasnt bad.

The weather was grossly hot 105...which might have contriubted to not feeling so well.

I forgot to mention that the Haunted Mansion Overlay was different from what I remembered. The Singing tombstones are back are now singing jack-o-lanterns. And they've added some different corpses to the grave yard.

Just an FYI for those of you looking for Jack and Sally they are in the courtyard NEXT to the Haunted Mansion...we were shocked. Getting the ready to park the stroller and I looked up and was like, JACK AND SALLY! and the line was short so rushed over and got a pic real quck. the CM cut off the top Jacks of head off so I'll we'll have to figure a way to get a better pic for you all when we get back.

As for the Allergy list the cm at City Hall told us that you have to talk to the chef at the restaurant you got are eatting at.

Still looking for those lime green mickey heads, just look for a guy and a gal in pushing a double stroller with one little munchkin in it...and Jade will proably have a her pirate pin bag with her mickey head on it.

Feeling much better today...and were in rom 1709 if anyone is staying near by and wants to drop bye...today is our day of rest just story tellers for breakfast.

Tommrow when we go back to the park we'll stop by and check on those Gingerbread coffins and let everyone know. Proably wont get one since the travleing on bus Im not sure about.

So today is just Stroytellers in about an hour and then taking the little one to Castaway Cove before it gets really hot toady (Hes loves the splush bucket...lol)

I'll make sure to tell Jade Hi for everyone. If you see us just yell "CAPTAIN BANE YOU OLD SEA DOG!" lol and we'll turn around in circles looking for you..lol

Have a good day everyone gotta get back to the room and get ready for stake and eggs at Storytellers. I'll be checking in from time to time when the comps are free....(NOTE: to self buy a laptop for the Disney World trip next year..lol)

See everyone soon!

Sorry you weren't feeling so hot yesterday, I hope you are better today!!

Gisele, no need to worry about your run on sentences. If I'm short on time I just skim your posts. You speak in a way that no one does anymore, I find it refreshing and unique.

Thank you for the update! It sounds like everything is going well. Sorry you are feeling ill:sick: .

Thanks for looking at City Hall for me :) That stinks about the list not being available anymore...first they got rid of chef Chris's position and now there is no list??? I'm getting concerned how I'm supposed to feed my daughter.:confused3

We so wanted another Zero bown this year !!!!!! Our baby uses the one from last year as her water dish and I wanted one for her food.

Glad you guys are havin fun!

I think we'er leaning towards Main street just to make the exit easier we'll watch the fireworks from the room tonight..and tommrow is the big Halloween party yea...well thats about it for now see everyone tommrow (We'll post pics in a few days after we get back...)

BTW the Steak and Eggs at Stroy Tellers was to DIE for...still looking for those lime green Mickey Heads. lol

See everyone soon.

The coffin-shaped souvenirs - if they exist - are maybe the gingerbread houses I was referring to. See, when I was at DLR last weekend, I was chatting with a CM who told me that the French Market tries to sell Haunted Mansion and Haunted Mansion Holiday-themed items every year. Every year during the overlay there is a different gingerbread house featured in the ride. They change it every year. When you ride past the banquet hall scene, you see a gingerbread house on the table. This year it is a coffin, and it is actually very, very cool. In any case, I was not clear on whether the CM was saying that the French Market is selling a gingerbread coffin like the one in the ride or a gingerbread mini-model of the HMH overlay house, but whatever it is, it is supposed to be HMH-themed. So hopefully Jade and Capt Bane (or someone else) can check the French Market to confirm this because the CM got interrupted when she was trying to explain it to us and then we had to go meet a friend so we never got to the FM to look inside!!!!

He will be SO thrilled. His grandparents didn't even call on his birthday. :(:sad2:

Well everyone, the Bus for home leaves in about 2 hours...we'll be home by 730 or 8 tonight. Proably post a quick report when we get in and turn on the comps...Last nights Halloween party was pretty cool. I think we hit every trick or treat station except for mickey hide and treat trail...Ds wasnt feeling well. (allergies I think.)

So we didnt stay ofr the parade...and No Maleficent. Ds wasnt happy lol.

We got pics of all the food from the restaruants I think except for Minnies and Goofys . Got pics of all the new menu items from Areils...ohh and in case I missed it...They are now taking photo pass pics (Like goofys and Ariels) at Minnies breakfast. Not with Minnie put I think the its the Tink effect.

Photo pass people were hard to find in the park this trip for some reason...Anyway more details later see everyone when we arrive in Phoneix tonight.

Its been a great trip, but I cant wait to crawl into my water bed...lol

SEE everyone tonight from home....

Ok I have to chime in here with a quick question for Capt.Bane.
You visited the DVC while you were there I see and you sais that it takes $500.00 to join up??? Is that correct??? I thought it was more than that??
Can you give us a few details about it so we can see if it would be worth our while to visit DVC in a week and a half when we go down for our fall getaway?
I would really appreciate any info you can give us on it:goodvibes Thank you soooooo much.

We are getting so excited to go and I wish it was already the 22nd:wizard:

Have a magical day!

Capt. Bane - Last weekend, I noticed the Photopass folks were easy to find in DCA - though they were not at all the locations I have heard they sometimes are - but they were almost scarce in DL, except for by the Castle and Partners!!

Did you peek in the French Market and look for the HMH gingerbread house and/or coffin?

I am so glad you guys had a great time. I wish I could have stayed at DLR as long as you guys stayed at Hojos - I think I would have gotten much more done if I had. We tried to cram too much into a couple of days, and I missed a lot of little things I wanted to make a point of doing this time. I think if I had 5 days to a week there, I would be better off!

Okay, I didn't go on that presentation with Capt. Bane, but I can try to help. I think he means $500 as a down payment? You buy a certain number of points for DVC stays. Pretend you bought 160 points, you then get 160 points to use each year. You can stay in a studio, a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, or even a 3-bedroom grand villa. Obviously, the bigger the unit, the more points you need. Also, in the busier seasons, you need more points. You can purchase the amount of points that makes sense for your travel needs. They are now building the villas at GC, so there will be a property at DLR. I would be lying if I said I knew the EXACT dollar amount, but at WDW the current price per point is over $100 (with incentives it might be less). Also the minimum point purchase is 160. The details might be different at DLR than WDW, but that is about a $16,000 purchase! You also pay yearly fees for the upkeep of the property. This is based on your # of points. Pretend (and this is just for simple math - it will be WAY different) it is $2 per point; that means each year you'd be spending $320 for your MFs.

Now, I must say again that I'm not sure about DLR's prices/points/etc. because we usually go to WDW. Hopefully that gives you at least some beginning info. It may be worth it to you if you vacation to Disney a lot - check out more info on the DVC boards. :thumbsup2 And there are people with a LOT more knowledge than me.

Capt. Bane, Jade, and DS - I'm so happy you're having a great trip. Thanks for keeping us posted!

I was wondering about the price quoted regarding the DVC presentation, too. For I know that the current cost for Disney's time share, begins at $16,640.00. Therefore, I was figuring too, that it may have to do with some kind of down payment.
Thank you Disney Princess for the clarification.
