Mini Misting Fans!

Purchased the ones the OP refered to at Walmart in the seasonal pool toys section. $2.97 plus tax. The brand is 02 cool.

I bought 3 of these at Rite Aid. Two of them didn't work, and I didn't try the third one. I was really disappointed. Anyone else try them and have a problem with them? They would be perfect because they clip onto a belt loop and you don't have to carry them. I did find another one made by 02 cool but it is a little larger. But it works great.

I bought a small misting fan at walmart in the automotive department. I thought I was so smart too puchasing it before we left and Of course my son was playing with it on the plane and we left it in the seat pocket when we got off! Nuts. The one in the park cost me a whopping $17. Definatly buy one at walmart

Found mine at Longs Drugs in Modesto CA but had to pay $5.99. Had looked at Wal Mart around here but didn't find them. Oh well, at least we have them.....we leave Friday!

I listed the same one in post #16 , but I'm peronally not willing to spend that much for such a small fan plus s/h.

I got the O2 Cool at my Walmart this weekend. Was at the end of an aisle in the hardware section. Price was just under $3.

I remember seeing the fans at Walmart about 2 months ago and I stood there with my DH and thought I should get them for our trip. he told me we had plenty of time so I didn't get them. Went tonight to pick one up for my DD8 (she's going to the zoo with her school tomorrow and it's HOT out) and wouldn't you know it- they've disapeared. However I did find battery operated mini fans (no mister) for $.97 each. They have the little clip for your backpack, too. I picked a couple of those. Better then nothing.

I searched 4 different Walmarts in my area before my trip in early May. No luck finding these fans. So when I got down to Disney, I went to the Walmart on 535. That's where I found them, near the cash registers. That was 3 weeks ago.

We bought four for our trip. We did a test run, they each sprayed approximately 115 times per water fill up. Not bad for a tiny little thing! They are all packed and ready for our trip tomorrow!

I bought an inexpensive misting fan at Walmart's a couple of years ago and the fan blew backwards! Check to make sure that your and and water are going in the same direction! LOL

If anyone is still looking for them check your local k-mart. I found them there right inside the door by all of the kid's swimsuits/towels/pool toys. They came in 3 different colors.

Well I copied down all the places people have found them at Walmart and went up and down every possible aisle and department and did not find them

I have Wal Mart connections---they call the display you are looking for a "sidekick". Go to the fan dept, near the paint dept. and ask a person working there for the O2Cool misting fan and it should be displayed on a sidekick, they will know exactly what you are talking about and will check their end displays to look for a "sidekick" attached to one of their endcaps. My Wal Mart had two sidekicks up of the misting fan and a sidekick up of the plain O2Cool fan, which hangs around your neck like a lanyard (which does not work!!!) Make sure you buy the colorful one that mists like a squirt gun, and has a fan attachment.

We live in Chicago and were able to pick up two of these at our local Jewel/Osco!

I picked up one large misting fan & two of the tiny ones for the little kids. The large one was about $4.95 and the small were $2.95 each. I had a hard time finding them at our walmart. I looked everywhere....camping, automotive, summer stuff...DUH...they were by the larger fans! I felt like an idiot. But they did have plenty of them.

This happened to me too with the larger misting fan I just got at WalMart. Then I read the little instruction thing that says to make sure you put in the batteries the correct way or else the fan will blow backwards! Who knew??

Got some of the mini's at Walmart last night. They were in a fan isle on a their own cardboard display right at eye height. 3 different colors but mostly the blue/neon green. Got one for DH and I and the 3 kids, plus I bought 2 big one to carry along too. DH wouldn't let me buy a big one for everyone, he thought they'ld be a hassle. I will test them tonight. One thing, though, with the big o2-cool fan is that when you hang the strap on your body on the shoulder, the unit sort of tips over. Perharps when it's full with water it won't hang side ways....otherwise this will be annoying.

If you have k-mart go there. I went to 4 wal-marts here in the Twin Cites metro and did not find them(went down fan asile, looked at check-outs, checked the various summer asiles, checked the pool asile. My walmart had the larger misting fans for $2.00 and the personal fans that are kinda rectangle in shape. I went to two K-marts and had no problem finding them (they had all 3 colors as well).
